@Mirpuria Literally it means "(My) 'saffron' lover welcome/come to our country".. Here saffron signifies I think something holy/beautiful.. not sure. Also desh can mean village and not country.

@boomba3 keasriya Balam is two words first means the (Keasriya= saffron) color and the second is (balam=lover or) husband or similar. This song is for the lord Kirshna ( hindu religion). he is keasriya balam.

@TheFreedomdenied no my friend kesariya balam here is not for lord krishna ......... rajasthan was ruled by rajputs before and was called as rajputana . Kesariya is saffron color and yes balam is for lover the song says o my lover wearing kesariya clothes please come to my land ..........

Is it Maand Raag.? The Sikhs relogeous scrpitures have a balad called Asa Di Vaar.Its sung in the morning in Raag Asa .After listening to these singers I think if they can be setb to sing that balad they will make a killing from the music.None of the existing Raagis do it in this traditional way as it was first written and devised from its origins from rajasthan...The King Raja Tunda in whose honor the balad style takes its name was first I beleieve from rajasthan

@goodboyla raag asa is from the bilawal thaat western notations ascending:c,d,f,g,a,c,decendin­g:c,b flat,a,g,f,e,d,c. this type also sang in multan area when singing kafi.all the folk musician who were trained in this music went 2 guru saab 2 sing the hyms in this style as well in classical which include partaal in sggs.if raag maand is included in sggs then is authentic bcoz the revalation is sung in authentic raags only,if not then is created hope thats helps
