Thank you. I was ablet to make a 24 module spike ball yesterday. It started to come apart several times but I finally got it to stay together. I know what you mean about not touching it once it is put together. Glad to hear you used glue... now I may go that way too! Thanks again for your answer and I hope to some day advance to the next size spike ball.... when I have time and no headache!! I just started teaching myself origami in January and have started to feel addicted.
@SusanFromOhio search youtube for -Great Stellated Dodecahedron - its one of my fav models and pokey- plus everything fits together so perfectly. maybe youve already made it but had to share it in case not! it dosent take that long to make and so worth it!!! hope you keep origami in your life- ive done it for like 5 years now- lol, makes good presents for family- if you do things with really cool scrapbooking paper and ribbion so they can hang them :)
I have tried the 12 module spike ball but can't keep it together. I want to try this one now but first want to ask if it makes a difference when putting the individual units together does it matter if the points go into the other point on the upperside or underside of the opposite point? Or if they alternate? Thanks
@SusanFromOhio I did mine alternating but I don’t think in really matters. This model is kind of flawed because the pieces don’t lock into each other- more of just rest on one another. It only seems to stay together if you never touch it again, once its complete... where’s the fun in that? I just glued mine eventually so I could hang it up with the rest of 'em.
