It was during the second play of this video that I smelled smoke. My english muffin was on fire. I don't know what I like best: the voice (clear, emotive, sincere), the lyric (uplifting, spiritual, comforting), the guitar playing (stunning, skilled artistry), or that it was all packaged in such an incredibly beautiful person. Such a great video, thanks so much for posting. But you DO owe me breakfast, LOL. :) I burned the daylights out of it.
Another beautiful song to add to the list by this very talented man! This video should be viewed by anyone who is going through a difficult time in their life...so inspirational are the words and so beautifully sung. Thanks, Lance, for this and for all your other spiritually uplifting songs AND for the 40 years of Orleans music and great concerts!
I don't know if it's the live authenticity of this recording, the gentle picking, the soothing vocals, the melodic lift, the heartfelt interpretation or the encouraging words, but everything unites to makes this so genuinely good. Thank you for this peaceful feeling and your inspiring message.
I'll never Fully understand but i do somewhat cos i too have sang at times where i wasn't happy with what I did. Gosh Lance this is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. Most singers just sing but man I can feel it as you do. THAT'S a gift! I was raised in upstate NY, moved to the mountains in Pennsylvania but still made it back every Labor day to see you guys at Opus 40. Your bands body of music popular and non radio stands at the top of the mountain with the Greats! Thanks man!
Lance - thank you for YOUR kind comments. You've been involved in songs that have inspired me, like "Reach," "Walking Wounded," and this one. I know you'll keep uplifting your fans with your music, and your great outlook on life. Count me among them.
This man is a national treasure. LOVE his voice, and he's one of the best bass and guitar players I've ever heard. Dare I say it, but Orleans might have stayed popular longer if they'd had some songs with him singing lead.
I do believe this might be the nicest compliment I have ever received. Personally, I am NOT fond of this particular performance, but I appreciate that you are. Thank you so much for the kind words.
Lance, Beautiful song. Inspiring lryrics and sounded great all the way around. I wish you success on your first solo album (oopps! I mean cd....showing my age)
Sorry about your muffin. Breakfast is o me should we ever meet. Meanwhile, I could use a press agent like you! :-)

@readyeddy101 Album is still used. Now, if you wrote "record album", that would show your age. :)
