I stayed in Odells until they closed down, both times! I still got pics! But this jam rocked all the clubs!! Pascals , Gio's, Morroco's, The Underground, International. All the clubs! Even Disco Skate!!!
I'm trippin at paradise garage on this in the summer/fall of '81. It was one of my favorites. I remember when she came the Garage to perform. I was dancing near the stage and didn't know who was performing that night so I left to go get something to drink when the show was about to start. Then I heard my song playing and it was too crowded to get back into the dance floor and I didn't see shit, I was pissed. the instrumental was the shit.
WHAT this tune right here sure caused HUGE GRID LOCK on the dance floors across the globe... mann the NYC went crazy when this came on.. roller skaters, club heads..you name it tunes like this made all dance no matter where they were.. i can recall as a kid... some cat was @ a red light jamming this trax & kids from around the way started to dance in the street... guess what we caused a dance party .. even tho we danced for a HOT 5 minutes it felt like eternity!
Taking me back to Paradisio, New Experience and Zanzibar. Eating at White Castle at 3 in the morning.
