What is full command ? From your saurus warriors. What use does it have to equip them with a shield? As far as I know you need light armor ANA a shield to get an armor save. Great battle. Liatris is safe... For now.
Bretonnian player needs to give damsel Prayer icon in a 50 block of Men at arms, gives them all ward saves, if it was Prophetess w/crown of command then they are all stubborn, plus Lore of life is a lot better now, Thorn vines/flesh stone combo on cheap men at arms? stubborn, ward saves AND toughness 7? forget about it. A 9 block of grail knights with the BSB & full command would take out the stegadon . I can fit 24 battle pilgrims in my 1500 list, they are like the MAA unit for 9 points a guy
Yea.... My opponent accidently read the misfire chart for cannons and whatnot. We figured it out afterward and both decided it wouldn't have made a difference.
i see then what are the advantages of 8th? other that its newer? i mean if they are going to improve rules but downgrade good armies... it defeats the fun
They arent downgrading good armies, its just a change of rules. I feel like the games of 8th that I have played have been a lot of fun. I was really competitive about 7th edition, with the rules being so strict, charging and terrain all having rules that I would use to my advantage, but now in 8th I feel like its just more fun.
Less competitive but more fun. At least if I lose a game now I can blame it on random power dice and random charge distances =]
@SupDoobie wich is why im not getting into warhammer anymore it seams to be left to much by chance i do enjoy the bretonnian models though :) but i think ill stick to mount and blade
My buddy, the Bretonnian player, said the same things. But he just changed his list a little. 2x trebuchets, lvl 4 propetess with life, or even better the Fay (+6 to cast life? Best lore in the game? CRAZY), men at arms, knights with lance formation for flank charges, and virtue of heroism for heroic killing blow? Bretonnia can make a pretty decent list. Just can't take 50 knights anymore and expect to run over everything.
dude you didnt even pray for +6 wardsave for all knights, and +3 magic save if you had grail knights lol
but very badly played for brets, you couldhave made that easy :P
men at arms rock! lol i killed dark elf halberdiers and x2 normal regiments of them with 32 men at arms YEEEEAH! lol

@Edurr20 Saurus come with a shield. They also have a scaly skin save.
And full command means they have all the options for command, meaning musician, standard bearer, and a champion.

What movement trays do you use for knights in lance formation? I think u use the 3 men deep and five man wide trays but im not sure

Now I enjoy taking my slann in any games above 1100!
