guys...the reason Cotto and Pavlik fight is on PPV is because HBO doesn't want these fights. Let's blame HBO for this not Top Rank. This is the main reason we had Pavlik moving up to fight Hopkins. Why? because HBO rejected Pavlik-Rubio and Pavlik against 2 other guys. Hbo only wants Pavlik-Hopkins therefore Top Rank and Pavlik team was forced to move Pavlik up to fight Hopkins.

I don't respect Calzaghe's route to "Greatness".

He hid in England for nearly 10yrs, knocked off a bunch of legends in their 40's and then retired.

Name one superstar he prime vs prime?

Thats what legends are made of.

If he beat a certified star in his prime like Chad Dawson, it would change most fan's perception of him.

Kessler is a superstar, he's already had a great career at supermiddle, he slaughtered both Mundine who's a pretty slick fighter and Andrade who is a monster, just b/c they're not hyped up much doesn't mean they're no good. Plus Kessler is very young and seeing as how he and Dawson are by FAR the most talented fighters 160 and up, it's only a matter of time before he becomes well-known. So he is a superstar in the making.

because calzahge is a coward all those fighters you mentioned why didnt he fight any of them. he beat up european bums and his real claim to fame was beating jeff lacy and kessler. personally i think they robbed hopkins of that fight and i aint making excuses for roy he dont got it anymore but that cut over his eye is what saved joe blow calzahge in that fight. he retired with out fighting dawson,glen johnson and pavlik which means hes a coward.

Hopkins fight was close b/c hopkins again used illegal tactics he was not called out for. hopkins should've been penalized for holding but somehow HE always gets away with it. Look at Berto vs. Collazo, Berto gets penalized for holding, not a word to Hopkins (Cortez is the ref big surprise). That fight wasn't even close hopkins won at most 3 rounds (that's generous) Calzaghe was the aggressor throughout, landed all the punches, dictated the tempo, controlled the ring. Hopkins didn't do anything cept hold and rabbit punch and cry like a bitch after the decision, worse than cintron

I agree actually, I like Calzaghe but he should fight Dawson, who is now recognized as a legitmate champion. Kessler actually was a great win, but fighting Dawson would seal it...if he wins but IMO Dawson is favored.

Both Calzaghe and Mayweather(especially) have a LOT to prove.

o.k. we can agree to disagree but the fight between hopkins and calzaghe i guess could have went anyway but again, joe calzaghe has been fighting in the 90's but he could have fought these fighters in the millenium fighters i mentioned earlier also tito trinidad,winky wright, oscar dlh,jermain taylor. hey ok he has wins aginst hopkins and jones but i think that dosen't makes him a legend because there are other fighters in the division you could have beaten to solidify your status
