  • i have a mexican flame knee. she's about 3 or 4. we've had her for around 5 months and she hasnt molted yet. how many times do they molt?

  • Well done! Was there a time lapse program? It was smooth!

  • @NorCalExotics No, I just shot a few seconds at each stage of movement and put them all together. I don't even have a real video camera.

  • I seen pictures in the books I have on tarantulas but I never seen this actually cought on film. Interesting anyway.

  • think pulling one wet sock off is tough try eight lol

  • My tarantula die right after molting

  • im constantly checking behind me, under me and under my bed for spiders. ive been doing it since i got my mexican redknee: hairy.

  • Wow, i never knew they did this, even the fangs are replaced?

  • MINDFUCK

  • man i thought my spider was dieing so i try bringing it back alive for a good 2 hours till i gave up and i woke up the next morning and there was another spider next to my old one i was freaking out. then i saw this and i learn something new, so Frank is still ALIVE! =]

  • i wanted a tarantula... then i say a tiny spider in my room and nearly had a heart attack. then i realized that giant spiders might not be for me :)

  • mine molted first time! When i came home from school, my Rose Hair Tarancula was on its back! And it changed form light red to Dark Brown! Then, I went to bed and this morning, It was done Molting! And my dad says i can look at the fangs with my microscope!

  • My Tranchi shedded but it's shells legs were still twitching anyone know WHY THE FUCK IT WAS DOING THAT? ヽ(`Д´)ノ

  • Those are huge fangs. I have a smaller tarantula and I had it for almost a year now. Do you know if it will molt anytime soon?

  • wtf? 2:31

  • he cloned himself!

  • Did not know they did that. Anyone else think this is probably the weirdest thing you'll see today?

  • am i the only one who didnt know where it started shedding from?

  • what is wrong with it it at the end?

  • is it dead at the end??

  • @ckyle2001 ...no

  • @edgarortega Im sorry it's just it looks weird, no offense tarantula...

  • @edgarortega then what is it doing

  • @edgarortega THEN FUCKING KILL IT!!!!!!!!

  • i wasnt gonna sleep tonight anyway...

  • that was the coolest, grossest thing I've ever seen

  • Don't want to sound stupid but what is molting?

  • @everySOLEincluded Its when the spider basically sheds its skin, so it can continue to grow.....or to replace lost limbs..This process can take several hours and they are quite vulnerable at this time..

  • @everySOLEincluded Shedding his/her exoskeleton

  • I can just imagine a spider's thought process while molting:

"mmph, This skin's pretty tight... I guess I'll shed it."

    3 mins later

"ok.. break out of the old skin in 3...2...1... AAAHHH 'S FREAKING COLD OUT HERE!"

  • Mine molted for the first time today...... Coolest thing I've witnessed in a while :-) anyone know how long they take to reach full size? It's my first 'T' (Chilean rose)

  • @hankster83 Rose Haris are very slow-growers.

  • lol did it die?

  • INCEPTION!

  • Does it hurt?

  • Is it just me or did the tarantula grow like 549027468201047 legs after it came out of the exoskeleton..?

  • Me getting out of bed on a Monday.

  • The tarantula got TARANTULA'D!!!

  • looks like its having the most epic power stretch after separation!

  • this reminds me when i had a tiny lobster, it molted without me knowing so i thought it was dead and we buried it, after a few minutes i saw it in its tank and then realized that we had buried its skin. :D i miss that lobster -_-

  • beautiful:)

  • That looks fake wtf?!?

  • Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah

  • anyone else get a chill watching this?

  • What type of T. is it?

  • @PownagexXXx Chilean Rose-Hair

  • I had a Chilean Rose-hair that died while molting. Poor thing. :(

  • It looks so soft and strangely cute. :> And the way it pulls its legs towards itself is cute too...since when do I find spiders cute? XD

  • This is fucking scary. :[

  • you need to get this video pppp

  • thought this said tarantula mating

  • How long is the process?

  • that is weird and cool at the sametime

  • Awesome vid, what's the song please?

  • @kroooassant Its Shogun and it comes with the iLife sound jingles on iMovie

  • penis

  • Ahwww look at it , its all curled up at the end, how cute:3 i wanna pet it

  • WOW they even shed the fangs! That's crazy! :D

  • Song?

  • Damm I thought my spider fought to the death... He's just peeling lol

  • went downstaris today and thought he was dead lol thank god he is molting

  • thats not impressive! I do that every day!

  • @fireapple9 Lol wth ? :D

  • The funny thing was I was wondering why they fangs of the exoskeleton on the left were still moving and then at the end I finally realized that the one on the left is the tarantula the one on the right is the exoskeleton!!

  • rip tarantula skin

  • It is molting by the way

  • I found this easy to masturbate to.

  • That's not molting, that shedding.

  • @WoodenZigzagoon Your an idiot.

  • @WoodenZigzagoon Its The same thing stupid!

  • does molting hurt them?

  • @iLaVidaNarcotica Well it sometimes does it doesnt hurt all tarantulas.. but if its the first time sheddign then it will be very dificult and it may hurt them a little.. but if u have a spider do not touch it while it shedding/ molting because it could lead them to their death (sometimes)

  • @emily2k111 Ah thanks, I was just wondering. I'm planning on buying one soon.

  • Brachypelma Vaginas

  • 1:00 misses the boring parts

  • how do you know when its molting or if its dead

  • @tony1459991 Give it time. Generally, tarantulas tend to act a little dead before moulting (and usually refuse to eat, which can add to the panic). If, at the end of a few hours, it's still on its back and not moving, and there isn't an exoskeleton next to it, it's dead. But don't touch the tarantula when its in the moulting/dead position unless you're sure it's dead. Otherwise, you could hurt or kill it.

  • @tony1459991 Normally when a tarantula dies all the legs are curled in on the body. It's not normal for them to be laying on their back with the legs spread if they are dead.

  • How beautiful.

    Why do they molt?

  • @whiskerchild theyr skin are their bones, they can't grow, so they produce a second skin under the original, wich is bigger, so they molt and grow with this. If they are young you can see huge differences! I got one that was about 3cm it molted 3 times aand she's now 6cm o.o''

  • @whiskerchild Oh yes and also every part of her will regenerate - lost legs or fangs for example, everything is back! :D <3

  • mine molted last night :D

  • @soldiersluck 2 weeks ago mine :3

  • @kronos92bluewin So crazy! at first i was like woah there are 2 tarantulas now!.. no wait a second.... lol

  • Why do they do little spazzes on their backs after they mold? I'm sure that it uses a lot of energy so they get tired from it but why the little spazzes?

  • Thanks for posting this. I've been worried about my T molting, but now that I know what it looks like I'll not freak out and think my baby is dying lol.

  • @Shamelesslilly I never could get a T to live more than a few days. They had good temperature, light, and june bugs to eat but the would die. I know they ate the june bugs because there would be hollow june bug exoskeletons (or shells?) the next day. I stopped trying after my third T since I figure I'm not doing something right.

  • What happens to the remaining skin? Does it stay there forever?

  • you can actually fake someone with that skin

  • My crayfish is doing that.

  • Comment removed

  • it would be cool to have one as a pet and feed and shit but not handle in my case lol

  • Can someone help me, why do trantulas molt?

  • @Thatsamistery grow bigger.

  • @snakeheadfreaks Does it hurt them to molt?

  • @Thatsamistery no, unless it stuck or something. use lots of energy.

  • Nice video! I watched my rose hair tarantula molt today, wish I could have videotaped her. Loved the music, thanks for sharing! :-)

  • Duuuuudeeeeeeee i get i now @.@

  • that happen to my tarantula

  • That must feel fucking great!

  • you think it's painful for them?

  • @alibabsy its not a painfull process unless something goes wrong such as not fliping over legs dont bend and they dont harden when they molt

  • are they more sensitive in their post-molt stage?

  • @Kerplunk990 Yes, they're quite vulnerable. It takes a few days for their new exoskeleton to harden. Even the fangs are soft and pliable, so she can't eat until those harden, as well.

  • @edgarortega No probs :) i have one and shes not exacly big and shes not exacly small. but they are pne of the most easiest pets to look after :P

  • Nice vid, very cool... they normally molt when ur in bed or out an u miss them..sneaky fukkers

    lol

  • I STILL have a molt of my Rose Hair Trantula in a safe bin that is over 5 years old. :P

  • Comment removed

  • WTF

  • Quite a noticeable size difference!

  • Do i take the old skin out after wards

  • @lemonbar7 Yes you should, the old skins collect bacteria and other things you don't want very quickly!

  • Wow thats wierd i didnt know spiders did that too

  • @HuruhiSuzimiya

All invertebrates with hard exteriors do. How else could they grow? A lot of insects pupate which is another form of malting.

  • that looks a little bit painful

  • dam that looks worser then haven diareah while constipated

  • like mud crab molting,i have 100 Hectares soft shell crab farm in Yangon,Myanmar.Aung Moe Khine Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

  • great video -- awesome soundtrack, too!

  • This is me after a epic time of work .. home at last

  • what happens wen they do this becuz im trying to get a tarantula

  • @runningjump87 its just there process of shedding there whole body to a new oone

  • @soap1st They don't shed their whole body... just the exoskeleton.

  • yehey!! no dislikes!!

  • He looks really high.

"Ahhh these clothes... get them off."

  • poor baby looked TIRED.

  • It's so cool to see such a scary animal in such a vulnerable position. It gives you a whole new perspective on these awesome critters.

  • I bet that shit felt great.

  • cool

  • I wonder what would happen if you put something on top of the spider while it was doing that?

  • This was my first tarantula that molted for me, and I cought it from right at the start :)

  • why is this somehow really beautiful to watch? i have arachnophobia..not joking, i scream and shiver and twitch when i get near spiders. yet i'm watching this over and over..

  • @trekkieqwerty SAME HERE. I cant stop watching these spider videos. ITS HELL...yes so interesting.

  • @trekkieqwerty I was about to say the same thing. I hate spiders with a passion. If I ever see one, I go the OTHER direction. I am a 6 foot man, and they make me scream like a 4 foot girl. /sigh

Yet, I watch these videos and I'm like...nature is powerful....and disgusting. Yet beautiful.....and disgusting. /shivers

  • That is beautiful!

  • kill it with fire

  • Wow, it was seriously like he was wearing the skin over his new body. that was awesome =]

  • Is it dead or did you not record it flipping over?

  • Is that a boy or a girl!

  • but does the spider die???

  • @lilwayne01ful Nope.

  • @lilwayne01ful

    no..

  • @PRAET0R1ANN is tht a real spider or animation?

  • @lilwayne01ful

Real, about 10 of mine just molted

  • @PRAET0R1ANN bt dont it look fake kinda?

  • @lilwayne01ful

If its fake then I will pay £1000000 to the person who can animate it so life like.. its real

  • @PRAET0R1ANN theres alot of ppl who can make it look more life- like than this ? retard

  • @lilwayne01ful

Why the fuck? How can something look more life like that real life you absolute idiot, don't call me a retard if you asked if this was fake, and said animation can be more realistic than life, you RETARD.

  • @PRAET0R1ANN r u seriously throwing a hissy fit ? dont get ur panties in a bunch

  • That is way cool thxs for the video I really enjoyed it

  • nightmareeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Nice video, thumbs up!

  • has there ever been a spider that died due to not molting?

  • by the way, once the spider moults what will happen to the other falled skin ?? do i have to take it out :S ??????????? im pretty scared xDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Can somebody help me, I have a rosie haired Tarantula that has molted once before but when I checked the cage today around 1:30pm he was upside down in a web she made, so I thought " OK she going to molt"... But it is now 6:11pm and she is still upside down with nothing changed at all. I was really sacred so I poked her leg to see if I can get a reaction for her and she has no movement at all. Is this normal ?

  • @SeedOfTheWicked Don't touch your Chilean Rose. I have one as well who is showing signs that she will molt soon herself. If your T was dying or dead, it would have it's legs crossed underneath the body. They don't lay on their backs when they die. It will take more than a few hours for your T to safely molt, so it's a VERY stressful time for it so leave it alone for now.

  • Thank you so much you were a huge help,, Yes she molted and she is doing great

  • @SeedOfTheWicked Anytime. Depending on how old your T is, she will most likely molt here and there so don't be too worried if she ever does this again.

  • Wow, that is amazing, I never seen that happen ever before, animals are so clever.

  • That's amazing!

    Dang... Those fangs... ._.

  • HOLY SHIT, she was taking a nap and her skin popped out!

  • And he never walked again.

  • I think this is when they are at their most vulnerable state. During a molte in the wild is when they become eaten by larger predators. Very soft outer skin for the first 24 hrs.

  • Looks like it's having an orgasm!

  • Ataravolta?

  • I love how all tarantulas give themselves a belly rub after molting.

  • Gorgeously lensed, outstanding!

  • that is the coolest Tarantula video i have ever seen!

  • He Was Treating His Old Skin Like Shit When He Was Done, Lol.

  • @Daishaboo2 I know, I'd put that shit in a baby book and show my friends.

  • NOPE.avi

  • Have a look at my channel there's a video of my Chilean Rose molting

  • The music along with the video made me think the tarantula was doing yoga xD

  • So are its fangs still sharp after its shell is removed?

  • So are its fangs still sharp after its shell is removed?

  • thumbs up if you thought the one on the bottom was the spider not the molt lol

  • Who

  • Cool, how long did the molting process take?

  • How long did it take for your tarantula to molt? I just saw mine molting right now.
