Actually, they are the same thing. Everyone simply misuses the terms either intentionally (like me) or otherwise... The proper way to refer to it would be "personal watercraft". Jetski is a pwc made by kawasaki, while Waverunner is made by yamaha. We can also throw in SeaDoo which is made by bombardier... If you are talking about the difference between a "sit down" and a "stand up", they are both still pwc's... just different types, the names have nothing to do with them...
