  • This choir is wonderful. My advanced women's choir is doing this for contest. I can't wait.

  • I think I like this version better than the SATB version!! The ladies singing this sound like angels! :D

  • Ive listened to this song about 50 times.

  • GORGEUSSS!!

  • thank you for this ^__^

  • I remember watching in the background in awe of the women's emsemble as they sang this. I remember being too touched to be jealous of their raw talent. Now I'm a part of the women's ensemble, after getting them to notice me, singing beside the same girls who inspired me to shine. And this is the song that did it.

  • ..... Im at an online funeral (RP) and this is playing -sob- Perfect for the occasion of my sister in the RP World's passing.

  • We are doing this piece for our gradation! love it!!!!!!!!!!

  • Singing this for Pinkerton Girls chorus!

  • I almost like the sound better with all women. :) Though it's still a very beautiful song when it's satb.

  • one word..........BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • Im and alto 2 i knowit is very hard, i was just pointnig out what i heard, i said it was very good, defintilly the best version ive heard on you tube so far.

  • Yeah... I do agree that it is lacking without a men's chorus. However I'm a basso profundo and am biased (: It was very well done with women here.

  • i agree with laurengraves89.

also, theres definatelu a different aura that comes from just the ssaa rather than satb. i for one love the satb version, and am looking for a ttbb version, but this is a beatiful piece nonetheless.

  • those of you who like the version with ten and bass, could you recommend a certain vid? I'm singing this in my high school choir as an alto

  • O.o Awhhh, fail. In my concert chorale, we sang this but it definately needs the tenor, bass and baritone voices. ):

  • missing that speical something without the tenor and bass:(

  • @patmayonnaise AGREED the bass parts of this song are just amazing.

  • @patmayonnaise very true , though it is nice to get a different feel of this song the version with tenors and bases does have more depth while this version feels light the whole way through

  • i prefer this ssaa version

  • s1 are very loud, very good though.

  • @hjumper810569

It's hard to hit those high notes and sing quietly, you should try it.

  • i LOVE the SSAA version!!!!!!

  • this song sounds alot better with bass and tenor in it, i was a bass in my whole high school choir and we did this as an alumni 2 years after i graduated and i fell in love with it.

  • Totally agree...our madrigal group did this last year and our guys just killed it in the best way. Its just not the same without men! :)

  • The Sopranos are too powerful.

ATB sound wonderful...but sounds like the Sopranos were recorded separately and laid on top.

  • this song is beautiful...we did an all male version in our male chamber chorus

  • I love it when it's 4 part. =] I did it as a junior.

  • This is a nice arrangement. <3 We're singing the SATB for our final concert this spring in Chamber Chorus. Love the alto parts~

  • It sounds like one person is singing multiple parts!!!

  • Is the San Fransisco Girls Chorus? I'm trying to find them singing this song but I can't locate it! It kind of sounds like them though

  • At my school we are performing this song in are choir 1 group of sopranos 1 group altos 1 group teners and 1 group basses it sucks. well it sucks the way we have to sing it.

  • love this songg. were singin it for our MICCA competition... so exciteddddXDXD

    ~soprano 1(:

(but one of the sopranos that can hit the high Es and Fs but also the Gs and Fs below middle C)

  • Wow.... this song is so beautiful, I absolutely love it

  • Heartbreakingly beautiful... I love singing this song =]

  • We're singing this song--im and 8th grader..

    ahah doesnt sound as goodd:)

    1rst soprano:)

    haha

  • I sang this song my senior year in high school, although it was in eight part harmony.

  • We sang this song in class the morning that my mom and i found my brother who committed suicide in his room . Before, it was a beautiful song, but now it means so much more.

  • We're doing this song in my school's female a cappella ensemble. I absolutely love it! Representing second altos. :)

  • ahh i love being an alto! especially those resonating low notes. i live for them

  • Haha. YES. I crack up when the sopranos groan at a measly A below middle C. I'm like, "Ahh. Comfort range." I ADORE singing those chesty Gs and Fs below middle C. Heaven, lol. :)

  • @kifke3001 Me too! I am also singing this in my choir right now. Absolutely one of the most beautiful songs I have ever sang in any choir. It really makes my heart soar when I get to sing it with my choir. It's just one of those songs.

  • @AltoAshleigh Second altos rock.

  • one word: Beautiful

  • absolutely beautiful. i sang this with the concordia women's choir last year... brings back wonderful memories :)

  • amazingggg omg i'm in love

  • Beautiful. I hope we can do just as good a job.

The chord texture in this song is breathtaking. Sopranos have nice, pure tone and aren't overpowering. Who is this? (choir name)

  • my chorus sings this song

    I LOVE IT

  • this is so gorgeous!! I love this song and my great grandmother just died so it makes it all the more meaningful

  • can someone send this to me i love this song

  • This is a beautiful song (especially the words), and beautifully sung.

  • For my fall choir concert, this song was sang in memory of one of our alumni. Lee had graduated in 2006. He died on September 21st. RIP Lee. You'll always be in my heart.

  • I absolutely love this song!!! its my favorite peice that my honors choir group has ever performed! its beautiful!!!

  • I imagine heaven will be filled with voices like this. Truly angelic!

  • i absolutely love the last chord... its so... heavenly. this choir was phenomenal, great job ladies

  • I've personally sang this piece, and I have to say that the choir that sang this one was phenomenal. Not a single part stood out. Such blend, such warmth in the altos, such light sopranos! Absolutely beautiful. I actually sang a SATB version, and I have now fallen in love with the SSAA version. Lovely!

  • I sang this with a women's choir a few years ago and I never forgot it...I loved this song and I still do! And I actually like the female version better than the guys and gals version.

  • ya got one small part of the lyrics wrong in the description.

you said "touch in me all love ad passion pain and sorrow"

it's "touch in me all love and passion, pain and pleasure"

  • actually if you listen they sing sorrow but w/e

  • in different versions you're right- they may have gotten the words wrong, but i don't know

  • ah, ok

when i sang it, it was pleasure

    sry ^^;

  • you are right about it being sorrow. i'm looking at the sheet music right now, and it's touch in me all love and passion, pain and sorrow.

  • @kifke3001 They definitely said sorrow. The songs original text, however, is "pleasure..."

  • love it, im singing it for choir nd it sounds great :)

  • Beautiful pictures!!

  • wow go momma altos!!!! i really like it just as much as i like the all guys... this is a solid peice mix or divided... i like it

  • i didn't think i was gonna like it SSAA... but it's kinda angelic... i kinda like it

  • i REALLY like this SSAA

i've never heard it this way before. :O

  • you did the best ive ever heard on this song its too bad you dont have guys and girls i think it sounds better that way

  • very interesting all girl parts. I love the warmth and vowels. Very well done.

  • it sounds really pretty!!!
