It's ok that a person never learns to do something at all, you always learn new things. But it makes me nervous that in all your videos says "me learning how to play.." and when you will play it without learning? just saying, you play very well by the way.
Quite a good solution to not only keep your mind off your condition, but to start a good hobby, keep at it. I love playing the bass! I have a hofner icon and a fender mustang.

@Rorro6Strings He has a point, but I think it's your recording gear letting you down - your playing is fine (better than mine, anyway), but it sounds really muddy. Try recording off of a line output instead of through a mic, if you have one. And, upload in 1080p for better codecs.
I am 56 years old and just learning the bass. I have arthritis in my right hand. So I understand the pain. Still I love learning and playing. More power to you. Besides your a whole lot better then I hope to be.
Good playing. I don't have to tell you to keep going - I know you will. After playing bass for many (30+) years, there's no plan for me to stop or find another career, either. It's the instrument that has it all, mostly rhythm and harmony. If you haven't already, check out James Jamerson. His stuff should make a lot of sense to you.

you have a great fat sound on that bass, great stuff. Learn some Motown bass lines and you'll be in business .Many them are simple since they do some much with so little (as well as the complex lines that seem like you need two brains to play them). Anyway, keep on plucking. Very cool...

I think its really cool that you can play bass with arhtritis. I had a stroke 3 weeks after buying a Gibson SG. I had to work, and work at weeks of therapy, and now I have my chops back. I admire you for how you play..

My wife[Ex-wife now] has RA and was using some horrible pills that drained her energy, but she started using some shots that is made of I guess rabbits. You play elec bass and I play upright. I guess you to be about 1/2 my age (74). You seem to prefer hard rock while I prefer C&W, jazz, gospel, and old gold. you have tension in your right pinky and ring finger like I did. If you get in the habit of relaxing them, it will end your forearm cramps and some joint issues. At first just pull them under your hand, then just get use to relaxing them casually.
i know you have an illness and i dont want to come off as a dick but your very technical, you lack the " Groove" that all good bassists need, you need to work a little on moving when you play.

you have a great fat sound on that bass, great stuff. Learn some Motown bass lines and you'll be in business .Many them are simple since they do some much with so little (as well as the complex lines that seem like you need two brains to play them). Anyway, keep on plucking. Very cool...

peavey and ampeg, nice. i used to run about the same setup as you, only i had the cirrus and not millineum. if your ever looking for a bass that has a little easier play-ability you should look at a warwick corvette. i noticed you said you had arthritis in another vid so i thought i might give my suggestion. nice playing though.

that fingering is a bit sloppy, u still need a bit more practice and a few lessons on how to place your fingers and your left hand.

Thats awesome I love your pushing forward attitude about your illness and also your passion for playing your instrument! I don't know if its just my ears or something but theres a note mostly in the intro that I'm earing that doesn't quite seem right... I could be wrong but make sure your all tuned and ready to go before playing ^_^ I don't want sound like I'm dissing you by all means I'm not!

I think its really cool that you can play bass with arhtritis. I had a stroke 3 weeks after buying a Gibson SG. I had to work, and work at weeks of therapy, and now I have my chops back. I admire you for how you play..

RA is a Bitch I hope you find the right formula that works best for you. My wife[Ex-wife now] has RA and was using some horrible pills that drained her energy, but she started using some shots that is made of I guess rabbits. Im not sure the exact medicine But its working for her and she is full of energy. and now my ex-wife. You are Really awesome, and a real talent you have. Keep it rockin'!

Hey Anna, you and I could be soul mates - at least music soul mates. We both are learning to play bass and we both suffer from arthritis. We also have differences. You play elec bass and I play upright. I guess you to be about 1/2 my age (74). You seem to prefer hard rock while I prefer C&W, jazz, gospel, and old gold. The most obvious is you're a guy & I'm a gal. That's wrong! I'm the guy and you're the gal. I have severe arthritis in my hands and playing bass helpd keep my finger flexible.

you have tension in your right pinky and ring finger like I did. If you get in the habit of relaxing them, it will end your forearm cramps and some joint issues. At first just pull them under your hand, then just get use to relaxing them casually.

i know you have an illness and i dont want to come off as a dick but your very technical, you lack the " Groove" that all good bassists need, you need to work a little on moving when you play.
