Ok I was a kid in the 80's and too young to rememebr this song but I do remember Vanity and just in my opinion it seems when she sang more R&B oriented songs such as this, Undress, and Nasty Girl [although she was really rapping in Nasty Girl] her vocals were more on point. Seemingly if she had a vocal coach and better prdocuers she would have been a platinum selling artist she had the look and the personality as well as stage presence.....

@sheshewawa it was episode of Friday the 13th the series where they had to find all those items that the devil had cursed.the fan was so in love with her and i think it was a mirror he had and at the end he became her. they broke whatever it was and while he was performing he turned back into himself on the stage while he was being her.i do remember that one

lol a true funny story,i was at jfk working a man took my pic and ran,i asked my boss if i could find out why,she said no,the next day i was on the front cover of TIME MAGAZINE,and the DAILYNEWS,people in jfk asked me for my autograph,the newsstand manger wanted to know why all of a sudden his time magazines &dailynews was sold out,my co-workers pointed at me,they said well you told us you wanted to be famous,the article was either a 96 or 1997 issue of TIME MAGAZINE,true story.

Prince need to get over his ego. Seriously, this song came out in what 1983? '84? He made just about all of the money he can off of it. Just let the fans enjoy the music.
