READ THIS! 1000 years ago, 4 heros put the demon to sleep. What happened to the 4 heros? They were sealed in a BLACK BOX! Yup. The 4 black boxes you encounter in the game are none other than the 4 heros. The 4 heros were a goomba, a koopa, a boo, and a toad. The goomba was trapped inside the first black box you see. The toad was trapped inside the box inside Hooktail Castle. The boo was trapped inside the box in Twilight Town. And the koopa was trapped in Keyhaul Key.

@CodyHeldreth I figured it out by listening to the guy's stories. I listened carefully. I knew the goomba was trapped in the box in Rogueport beacause Goombella is a goomba. So it made sense to me. The way I knew the Toad was trapped in Hooktail Castle is that the storyteller said the Koopa was trapped on an Island. So the Toad must be in the castle. And Boo being trapped in Twilight Town was obvious since creepy steeple was there. Yes, I talked to that guy on the roof. Just listen CAREFULLY!

The biggest reason they try to push you to practice the action commands is because they actually added a new one - if you press B before getting hit, you'll perform a counter. Not sure if you mention that later on or not.
