  • Thanks for posting....this is my fav. scene of the movie! And I love the song too!

  • Man, why am i getting thumbs down, we must have a lot of homo's who don't like Jessica Simpson on here, why do these things turn into debates when i was really just trying to complement a guy on putting good music to a video clip?

  • damn the song matches the scene pretty damn good

  • i liked the movie better than the show and i grew up on the show, but that could just be because this had jessica simpson in it, so so actress, big time hotty though. I like this song that you chose a lot too, but it's not Johnny Cash.

  • psh... the movie = the dupes of hazzard

  • At first, i thought this movie sucks. but it is so funny!

  • this was a real turd of a movie. loved the series though and who doesnt like johnny cash?

  • Yeah :D...I never saw the series I wish i could...i thought the film was good :P

  • I love this song, and I like this movie.

    Good Combo!

  • this song would go better with the rally scene...black betty goes better with this scene...

  • Actually, I think this version (AUDIO) is Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel

  • Nope. It's Commander Cody and His Lost planet Airmen.

  • what year was this song born was it '71 or '72

  • this song kicks a** all the way

  • I used to drive my 68 396 caprice in similar fashion, 30 years ago. Now I have 455 firebird and 440 cuda that I hardly ever have time to drive.

  • no the best thing about it is that it hauls ass

  • my dream car... dang its a beutie

  • he's a damn good driver

  • The band is Commander Cody and the Interplanetary Spacemen. I heard them, and this song on NPR's Prarie Home Companion. They played honky tonk type songs. Not much different from this.

  • Correction: Lost Planet Airmen

  • Commander Cody and HIS Lost Planet Airmen.

(so the young'ns can get it right). Live From Deep in the Heart of Texas. Go get it, kids!

  • What is that Commander Cody thing? That Car ia a General Lee...

  • Commander Cody is either the band or the song

  • Kill yourself

  • cool Dodge charger R/T

  • hahaha funny

  • the black betty is the better of the 2

  • I really enjoy this version, but do wish you had left the ending intact, it is the best part.

  • Nice Story Commander!!!!I like this song to death...so rock-so the road is on fire...Hey rockers..don't slow down...Just rockin with a revolver in your hand...

  • WHAT HAPPIN TO THE END?????

  • don't know this guy is a clown..

  • Great song - good if they used a Lincoln.

  • Good effort but Chained to the Wheel does the best version of this yet.

  • This song reminds me of my Cadillac Elderado back in its day that car could go down the road and make most sedans look like they were standing still, but it only made six miles to the gallon.

  • Black Betty version fits better.

  • this one fits better but i like Black Betty better as a song><

  • What was the song what was in this spot, in this movie??

  • the first song in this chase is a ZzTop-song and the second one just before they jump is "AC/DC - If you want Blood"

  • I use to drive a"Cartier "designer edition for my job,I believe it was a Mark V or VI,back in early eighties that would run like a SOB.If memory serves, it a 460-V.From St. Lou to St. Pete Beach, about 1K miles, every year at Spring training . Awesome .. 20 years old , drivin' a brand new Lincoln , at an avg. of 100 mph , all the way to Florida .

  • Yeah! Command Cody ROCKS!

  • and kids think " driftin" is something they invented... 440 cid w/ a six pack , the Mopar magnum .Bring on your Honda NOPI car ! American Iron rules !!!! Ya coulda had a V-8 !

  • true, sorta, you invented powersliding, i love that old trick, my "hot rod" lincoln mark vii power slides nicely.

  • A men My Mopar Brother!

  • a men

  • its seems to be very similar the version of the reverend horton heat version i got....

  • spettacolare!!!!!!!!!potenza allo stato puro....gran macchina

  • hot rod lincoln- johnny cash

  • Hot rod lincoln - George Thorogood

  • Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen

  • You should've used the whole song

  • commander cody and the lost planet airmen are the ones who sung this

  • you got the credits screwd up Johnny cash didn't do hot rod Lincoln Commander Cody did

  • the old oneis much better

  • that right

general lee still the best at that nice jump

people in the movie are stupid

  • the dukes are not driving a lincoln there driving a 1968 dodge charger, there a big fucking difference!!, one is dodge and the other is ford

  • actually that's a 69 Charger.

  • Where's the end of the song? Dammit!

  • Thats the best version of hot rod lincoln... all the other ones SUCK

  • I like this version but I gotta say that I like Pat Travers version off of his first album just a little bit better.

  • I wasn't talking about the movie!

  • what's the real song in that part but in the movie?

  • "AC/DC - If You Want Blood (You've Got it)" starts playing after a while.

  • Good Clip

  • this ones better than the black betty one. this song pwns

  • this song and the dukes rule. anyone who says different is a dick licker

  • agreed

  • The song is great...the dukes are lame...Comander Cody recorded this version in the early 70's - it was a revivalist, revisionist version of a rock-a-billy song from the 50's written, I believe by the Ryan fella stated above.

  • They aren't Lame you are!

  • Johnny Bond also sang a version of it in the 1950s.

  • Comander Cody din't wrote Hot Rod Lincoln, Charlie Ryan wrote it in 1955 and recorded it in 1955. a few years before Comander Cody

  • Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen...one of the great under-rated bands...(Asleep At the Wheel sounds like they just ripped them off totally)...

  • i like black betty better but this is ok

  • mini skirts for all!!!!!!

  • this is commander cody, 1957. NOT J.Cash or G. Thoroughgood.

  • comander cody wrote hot rod lincoln

  • i like the black betty one better

  • hot rod licoln is by George Thorogood

  • you suck,, i know where yuo live!
