yes they did even with the v-8

@kingbrian24 they only put the 5 speeds in the 4.2 and 4.6, the 5.4 was auto only

its worth it mine is a daily driver im about to put 37x1350 mud grapplers on mine, i only have a 3 inch body lift with my torsion bars cranked all the way they will fit to:)

do you still have this truck? if so.. how many miles are on this? and any other mods on it? i love the 97 f150's... i have a 97 xlt short cab 4.2 but i would love to buy a bigger one with a v8.

@WannaBFoxRacer yup still got it... right now its getting 4.10 gears, and a new heater core, front shocks, and rear brakes.
