  • the stinger..forever the frachise of WCW

  • i just read on the internet that wwe is releasing a clash of the champions dvd sometime in may of this year

  • greatest and only rap song worth it's salt. lofl

  • This was wrestling at its finest !!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!

  • Corpus Christi's Memorial Coliseum hosted this show, and now--the building's a pile of rubble. Sweet retro memories...

  • I could hear a few fans shouting DUSTY! DUSTY!

  • wcw in the early 90s up until 97 was great then it went downhill dont you remember the 2 minute main events goldberg vs kronic or selling 1000 tickets and having 9000 seat fillers or free tickets

  • wcw in the early 90s up until 97 was great then it went downhill dont you remember the 2 minute main events goldberg vs kronic

  • i remember watching this live as a kid i was hyped for the 6man cage match main event to bad it only went like 6 minutes

  • TNA and WWE take note..This is how you put on a wrestling show. You dont need bullshit storylines you just need logical and simple shit. God I miss early WCW.

  • @ShinobuReviews I could not have said it better myself brother. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Arn was right in that Horsemen DVD Ole is such an evil SON OF A BITCH and I do agree Ole does hate everybody

  • it would have been awesome if tully blanchard was still there

  • that song was so bad that I played it twice and am now sure that I am ready for and no longer scared of Hell.......

  • Is that Theodore young singing the theme?

  • I remember this. Flair and Sting had one of the greatest feuds of all time. WOOOOO!

LOL that wrestlewar Ad was full of lulz.

  • FUKIN ASOME I REMEMBER I RECORDED IT IN VHS OBIOUS BUT NOW ITS ON YUOTTUBE ALL IF IT SWWEEEEEEEEETTT LOVE FLAIR AND MUTA AND ARN ANDERSON

  • I saw this live on TBS that night......Awesome

  • WHy did tully retire so early?? Did he just quit?? I always knew he was a quiter lol.

  • @xhemexx actually when he was supposed to go back to wcw from wwe he walked into the arena and found out they were doing drug test and thus 24 hrs prior he had done cocaine. so thus he would have never been welcomed back.

  • @GambitUz so what he just didn't come back for good then? I mean cocaine leaves the system eventually, the guy pretty much retired and didn't come back for good?!

  • @xhemexx if he did show up that night he would have had to take the test and fail. even though the drugs would have left his system eventually he still was at the arena so they could have gotten him on a noshow type deal. either way he was fucked.

  • @xhemexx

He failed a drug test. His videos are on YouTube. Just search Tully Blanchard.

  • @xhemexx tully had a problem with drugs, he was great and shouldve accomplished alot more in the biz. there's a shoot interview on youtube with tully its about 2 hours long u should watch it. its labeled "Wild Child". i geuss just search that and throw his name and "shoot" in there to find it. if u have trouble let me know and ill get u the link.

  • Ok, Teddy Long should never be allowed in a recording studio.

  • Did everything need a rap? *groans*

  • what would you prefer heavy metal!

  • Heavy Metal Van Hammer? Alright, maybe there are worse things.

  • Flair, ole, arn and tully blanchard. Then ole was kicked out for luger. Luger lost the us belt to dusty rhodes and he was kicked out. Windham turned on luger in a tag match against arn and tully and became a horseman. That was the best group and last set of horsemen in my opinion.

  • Luger was kicked out when he refused to go over the top rope for JJ Dillon in the Bunkhouse Stampede match. After that Dillon kept everyone even the Horseman in the dark about Luger's replacement 7 it was Windham

  • it seems like there a million members in the 4 horsemen...who were the originals??

like how DX was really and truly jus hbk and HHH....who was the real regular horsemen??

  • Flair,Arn,Ole & Tully were the originals

  • it wouldn't work with terry funk either he's stubborn as hell lol!!

  • all five guys in the ring can do something w/ the mic...how often those that happen now?

  • Ole looks like an older Benoit!

  • Did PN News perform that rap?

  • Sting is out of place in the Horseman.

  • I agree. Never understood why Sting was a Horseman.

  • Well at this time the Horseman were faces, it was when they kicked Sting out that they went back to being bad guys.

  • SHOULD HAVE HAD TERRY FUNK INSTEAD LOL

  • look at that hair on Flair dude

  • bet he misses having all that hair now

  • wow! the horsemen were the Mafia!

  • cheesy ad for Wrestle War 90 (ha ha ha!)

  • Ole was the master of confrontation. 'No no, you're too easy!' Perfect.

  • sting such a bitch. lol dressed in a western outfit! LOL i love how he puts his hand on arns shoulder like hes a friend of them! WELL FOUND OUT ABOUT THAT!!

  • what song is that?

  • It's called "The Creeper" by Molly Hatchet. I got it on cd

  • The year was 1990. I don't know why Ric Flair had to make Ole Anderson force Sting to cancel his match. Eventually Sting didn't cancel his match. But he did get jumped by the Horsemen.

  • This is some straight up gangsta shit this is some acamedy award shit Ole Anderson and Arn are the best right hand men and Ric Flair is the godfather don

  • They came the #1 bad asses in wrestling again, in the space of 5 minutes. That's talent. Ole, Arn and Ric were the greatest at cutting promos. The only thing that would have made it better would have been Tully Blanchard jumping out the crowd and joining in on the beat down and reforming the original Horsemen.

  • I have to agree, if Tully came out and joined in the attack, it would have been complete.

  • tully was supposed to have come back with arn and ole and reform the original horseman but, he failed a drug test prior to the return. that's why sting was included in the horsemen to begin with.

  • That would have been a great sight to see and one I would have remembered.

  • @Lannis32 or windham.

  • wow how bout that wrestle war's rap go teddy long go haha

  • Never knew why Sting was a Horseman..didn't fit if ya ask me

  • Yeah Sting was and it was a way to make the Horsemen faces, sort of until Sting made his run for Flairs title. Which put the Horsemen back to what they did best.

It didnt really, but back then Terry Funk, Great Muta and Dragon Master w/ Gary Hart were going after Flair and Sting aided Flair, which led to Halloween Havoc, where Ole came back. Then the Horsemen were refomed. But then they had Sid Vicious and Roma come in which was a total f-ing disaster, and Jarret was never a Horsemen.

  • It fit perfectly within the storylines and characters of the time, and the real life booking. Storyline, the Horsemen and just reformed and needed instantly publicity, and Sting was the new hot face at the time, so the Horsemen adapted and bided their time as babyfaces. Booking wise, it put heat on Sting and the Horsemen. Sting became the #1 babyface and he had a perfect foil: Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen. And, by proxy, he was thrust into the World title picture.

  • Holy Clap! I didn't know Sting was a Horseman.

  • Sting was not Horseman material neither was Double J, and Paul Roma

  • If you knew anything about what was happening at the time you would know that it was booked that Sting was not Horseman material. That's how they got heat on Sting and Horseman. It was done that way purposely.

  • This was one of the great storylines in the History of the NWA. Ric Flair actually was the Chief Booker for the NWA, whch means he put together the storyline with Ricky Steamboat, Terry Funk and all of this. You also had three of the greatest promo guys in the history of wrestling: Ric Flair, Ole Anderson and Arn Anderson.

  • Actually I thought it was dusty rhodes who was the booker

  • I think Dusty was the Booker from 1984-1988. I think Flair was the Booker for 1989-1990.

  • Not sure because Jim Herd wanted Flair out to make way for Sting as the new face of WCW.

Either Herd was overriding the booker or Flair was not a booker at all....

  • @all028 dusty was the booker at one point but this took place after he bought a pair of polka dot trunks and went to the wwf. when flair started booking it was his idea to bring in steamboat, funk etc.

if dusty was booking he woulda made himself the centerpiece as usual.

  • @TheBigBadWoIf Ric Flair was the Booker for the NWA and is responsible for this storyrline.

  • @DaFaceManXXX or sid. personally i think el gigante woulda made a good horseman.

    lmao

    j/k

  • yeah..This must be the one where the Horsemen injure Sting's leg

  • @mooky9669

Sting injured his leg while climbing the cage.

  • These were the good-ole-days of professional wrestling--right here! I just wish pro wrestling these days could be like in the days.

  • the evolution and triple h totally ripped off this angle when making randy orton champion

  • Actually, the Evolution/Orton thing was loosely taken from this. Sting was a longtime nemesis of Flair for years and was finally granted passage into the most elite group in the sport. However, Sting did the one thing no Horseman ever did and that's go after Flair's World Title.

Orton, won the title that was thought to be Triple H's. The title remained in Evolution but Triple H thought it was his to have, not Orton's. That's where the problem arose, much like with Sting.

  • yeah since its fake there has to be soooo much politics about who is champ I never thought about it

  • ah classic wrestling not like the crap we have today

  • I could whip all those little punks at the same time...but they were entertaining...lol

  • your not a punk like sting lol

  • Flair's hair was awesome. It could win championships itself.

  • lol yep

  • @Novametalstar Flair's hair was a thing of beauty. Its a shame to look at it now. :(

  • Even though I like the Horsemen this whole letting go of Sting situation was unfair I just think if he was still part of the Horsemen a little longer even if he'd won the belt at Wrestle War '90 or not or when Sting got injured I would have though that Flair or the Anderson's might have continued their rivalry with Gary Hart and his crew but this was just unfair

  • Sting was a Horsemen for a month wasn't he???

  • This is exactly the reason why i becane a wrestler

they just don't make storylines like this anymore

  • what a crew!!!!

  • Whether you like it or you don't like it, learn to love it..... Woooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my god, that "wild thing" rap was horrible!!!!!

  • hell yeah it was

  • best horsemen group - Flair, Arn Tully and Barry.

  • Ole was awesome in this clip. I heard Ole say before he hated Gordon in real life. LOL

  • He was. Awesome segment

  • Ole hates every damn body. Including himself!

  • @SpaceMtFlair ole hates everybody. he's just a bitter old fucker.

he actually said he hated gordon solie? are you serious? how could anybody hate gordon?

  • WCW/NWA Lives forever! Thanks YouTube!

  • Was this just before the whole dynamic dudes stable with sting orndorff jyd etc against the horsemen?

Because that is when they started showing old episodes of WCW worldwide here in the uk about 3, 4 years ago when sting wanted revenge on the horsemen.

  • i remember watching this when it originally aired, that was a good angle

  • One of the greatest moments in wrestling history.

  • Wrestle War Wild THing Song>the past 10 years of hip hop songs

  • Ole was greatness.

  • I wish you could get all this old NWA/WCW stuff on DVD but there's not much chance with Vince McMahon owning all the rights.

  • Yeah, you can get it. I have Tbs 87, 88 on dvd all the classic stuff.

  • Where did you get it from? I thought WWE had the rights to that stuff since Mcmahon bought out WCW.

  • horseman's are gods

  • TRUE

  • the absolute elite of wrestling. The Horsemen.

  • just phenominal......

  • Cornette was a fool! "This greastest thing I've ever seen in my life! He gave the guy a chance!" LOL

  • Shades of when this business was great.

  • i neva knew the original card 4 wrestle war '90 b4 sting hurt himself!great post!

  • I loved this whole thing...they really knew how to build up main events back then...I almost forgot Sting was a Horseman at one point

  • daheezyfosheezy

    sorry about that but anyway

sting was heel when first started nwa\wcw out sting owes alot of his sucess to ric flair but in the end there fued ended up up becoming one of the best in wrestling history so they helped each other in the end

  • Both Gordon Solie (interviewer) and Flair both are going to be inducted to the WWE Hall Of Fame this weekend ! WHOOOOOOO !

  • i didnt know sting was a horseman

  • For a short time. Then he challenged Flair for a title shot and was beat up and kicked out. And he suffered a REAL knee injury.

  • The glory days of wrestling!

  • Hell yes, thank you for posting this. I have alot of these old shows and ppvs on VHS.

  • Those were the days. Compare that with now

when that "Hardy" boy is the man.

  • Whats up with that Teddy Long "rap"?? LOL

  • Holl...holla...holla!

  • What's with the porno music the Horsemen had at this point?

  • Flair was not a great champion? he defeated every legend in that ring right in the middle of that ring...who are you kidding?

  • Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time and in this business all that matters is you got the job done....and 25 times he has beaten a world champion to become the Champ..he is the greatest of all time!

  • It's only cheating if you get caught...Woooo!!

  • @JerrimeWilliams30 most of his victories were clean. he may have cheated to retain them but he won most of them by clean pinfall

  • DON't fuck with the horsemen!!!!!!! period!!

  • newwave, you are an idiot! Ric Flair is the greatest of all time.
