Abu mansoor al amriki and all of al shabab are actually helping Somalia. There hasn't been peace like that in a long time. This is indeed jihad they're fighting. The prophet said: "You should listen and obey them even if the ruler beats your back and takes your wealth" - Sahih Bukhari, Muslim & there are many more ahadith to that effect. Those are not real Islamic countries they are mixed systems. They also have cultural and Western laws as well. Why do you think so many orthodox Muslims want to overthrow the governments? It is both of course, but it can be argued (and quiet convincingly) that the Abrahamic religions' insistence that their one truth is the only truth and not to follow this one truth means you are worth less than the believer - facilitates a dehumanization of their opposition, to a degree much more rarely found in those of a dharmic origin ( in regards to your South Asia comment)

Everyone believes their way is best. For example in America we look down upon people who are communist simply because they are different. In Hinduism you have caste bias that is very deep rooted in these societies. However as far as religion is concerned I know history and politics well enough to know that conflicts typically haft to do with money and power not any specify religious teachings.

Kaffir means disbeliever in Arabic. I admit some people use it as a derogatory term for non Muslims who typically have bad actions. But it is not in the teachings of Islam to be derogatory. The ruling for an apostate that propagates against Islam is death when living in an Islamic state. However there is no such thing as an Islamic state at this time.
