and the question is why didn't they just make another ev= no instead they make 40k car that can only do 40 miles in electric only mode and then the rest motor i dont get this but we as consumers can make one in our own in a garage and get 50 plus with old left over batteries lmao! for half the price come on people wake up lol
fuck all these little ''EATH FRIENDLY'' fag cars, everyone fire up ur trucks when its oh maybe 40 below zero up here maybe we need a little more emissions?
TranCendenZ...the Leaf is not available and pricing has not been set, so your comments are irrelevant.
If you are talking about past reliability, Nissan is NOT the place to look for a sterling reputation.
That "deceptive" video is coming from a proving ground that is the standard of the industry and provides the most realistic feedback for durability testing.
your obsession with japanese culture blinds you to the fact that americans can produce quality too. its a sad life you must live

GM invited PBS Frontline for a publicity shoot of the Chevy Volt, but the Volt broke down when trying to drive up a small hill, and the shoot was canceled.
biggsydu: I've owned four American cars, and ALL were unreliable and cost me all of my savings when I was younger. My Ford Tempo caught on fire, and the fire department had to put it out. Luckily, it was parked on the side of the street and not inside of the garage when it spontaneously combusted. The Chevrolet Cavalier and Chrysler LeBaron were also costly pieces of junk.
I now use Consumer Reports magazine when selecting a car. My Toyota Camry has 230,xxx miles and runs like new.

Nissan already built a superior "eco" car called the Nissan Leaf that gets an "equivalent" of 367 mpg, and it will be priced competitively with the Toyota Prius.
People who are interested in "eco" cars are unwilling to pay $40,000 to $48,000 for a Chevy Volt. Maintenance costs will be high if the Volt is as unreliable as past GM cars.
The pothole at 0:57 isn't even like a real pothole. The Volt would be damaged if it hit a real pothole at that speed. This video is deceptive.

Michigan had some of the worst roads I've ever driven on, you don't need the Milford Proving Grounds, just take a trip around MI.

Nissan Leaf FOR THE WIN 100% OIL DEPENDENT FREE (exclusion of tires, etc of course)
jamessicat25 1 year ago
@jamessicat25 The Leaf is (by Nissan's own admission) part of a "two car" strategy: Leaf for city, rental/beater for trips.
Volt uses less total gas than the combo of Leaf+whatever POS you take to the beach...

@panhead1219 They may not look like a natural pothole but they provide the same shock to the vehicle as a natural on will.

if they had the EV1 they probably woud not be in bankruptcy and selling a lot of those cars the last 10 years
you know whats not selling? the chevy corvette
low demand and underpriced the corvette is subsidized by GM it would not survive on its own
it should go to the chopping block like the EV-1 because they claim it will not sell and low demand.
