@276Smiley I know what you mean but if you saw the show you would understand things a bit better. The costume designs had to be different to the Tony Walton( Julie Andrews ex husband) costume designs that were used in the 1964 film. The show is a may zing!

I don't like this Mary at all :\ she's not nearly as stunning and beautiful as Julie Andrews and no one can compare her voice to the one and only. IMO, probably no one will be able to take that legendary hold of Mary Poppins away from Julie, because she is IT.

@samsurfin12 Personally, I feel she doesn't capture my heart the way Julie Andrews did. I find Laura Michelle Kelly rather creepy and over acted, whereas Julie did wonderful little eye rolls and, to top it all off, she sang it better.

Don't make assumptions based on a montage with a song playing in the background when you've never seen Christian. Of course, having fully formed opinions without having ever seen or heard of someone seem to be the norm among Broadway fans...but I don't want you to be one of those people. Go see him. He is perfect as Bert. You can't even really tell from this video!
