@blankwavemessiah you don't understand hip hop at all and probably haven't heard anything not on the radio. The point of hip hop beats are to creatively compile a collage of samples from different kinds of music and put it over a beat to either rap or break to, not simply copy and paste an entire song (like puff daddy used to do). They are supposed to be like the audio equivalent of those photos made up of thousands of tiny other photos.

When I was growing up everyone use to think playstation was better than N64. Lol stupid fucks, sorry but Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot doesn't even come close to Goldeneye, Zelda, and Super Mario 64.... shit even Mario Tennis was better than those shitty playstation games, not to mention, cartridges with 64-bit graphics was unheard of, compared to CDs with only 32-bit graphics and a long ass loading times lol.

@CF40 The N64 was clearly the best damn console on the market (graphics wise), but its only draw-backs were lack of CD-R capabilities, and in due-diligence (Beyond the RE2 port), this held the N64 back from probably crushing the PS1 (cause of storage limitations on a cart/112kps audio playback; it couldn't port other big-market games at that time like Metal Gear Solid).

@CF40 Your opinion. But there's a reason why everyone else thought the PSX was better. That reason is simple. It WAS better. The N64 is still a legendary console with classic games. Perfect Dark should be added to your list.

But if you think Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon ( 0_o ) were the best games to appear on the PSX you're sadly mistaken lol I'm thinking those were the only games you played?

Tomb Raider? Resident Evil? Silent Hill? Metal Gear Solid? Soul Reaver? FFVII? I could go on.

@Marklar2k8 Ok I'm not going to say you are totally wrong, all systems have their strong and weak points. But here's a major difference with the 2 systems. The PS1 was about quantity, and the N64 was about QUALITY. Sony pretty much allowed and approved any no-name developer to release a game they made, thats why the PS1 had thousands of games. Nintendo didnt let some old crappy developer release some crappy old games for the N64. Plus, the traditional Nintendo games were amazing!

Nintendo has always had to rely on it's Big Names to make them money. Mario being the largest cash-cow in gaming history. That's not to say we don't love him, we DO love him. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the best games I played in 2010. But it's true that the Big Names are what what drive the company today. Well, they always have.

Sony had much more variety. If you wanted to play Mario or Zelda, you bought an N64. If you wanted variety, you bought a PSX.

N64 was the console of choice, ps1 took a backseat to it, probably because PS1 owners had to spend extra money for a multitap, where on the N64 it came standard.

1. The CPU is almost 3x faster (93MHz>33MHz)

2. The PS1 GPU clock speed is unknown, but proven weaker than that of N64 (the N64 GPU is clock 2x faster than PS1's CPU! N64 was packing on power in graphics)

3. N64 has double the RAM w/o the Expansion Pak (4MB vs. 2MB)

4. With it, it's 4x.

5.The RAM is MUCH faster with peak transfer speeds of 500MB/s

6. As much as people harp on the costs and capacity, cartridges had advantages...
