I remember back in the day when i would spend my afternoons playing Banjo Kazooie, Duke Nukem, Mario Kart and Star Wars on my N64. Used to kick my Dad's ass at these games in multiplayer!
Best game ever! why?! First game i've ever played in my life! I was 4! Banjo kazooie forever!!!!!.... Not nuts and bolts... That... That was just sad. Even To-to-MEEEEE
Banjo-Kazooie remake for Nintendo 3DS anyone? I think it would be great for people like me who have only heard of it in 2008 and never got the chance to play it on N64. Thumbs up if you agree.
@ShadowLinkkirby64 It would be great, the problem is that nintendo and rare don't work together anymore. Which is why Xbox live arcade has banjo kazooie en banjo tooie.
@ShadowLinkkirby64 Almost impossible to see that, Rare is Microsoft property since 2002 that means Banjoo is also their property. The fun thing is that Microsoft even with Rare (Conker, Banjoo, etc) never make something good, just crap after crap games, and if u wonder why Nintendo made DKs games thats because the bought DK rights from them.
This was probably the most influential game to me personally. I had played a few mediocre PC-games before, but nothing in this league. The colors, the 3D-graphics, the freedom and soooo many original gameplay mechanics, the funny story and the captivating music. I got it for Christmas and cheered like a maniac. It took me PRECISELY 365 to complete it next Christmas eve. This is not a game, this is not an experience, this is my childhood.
i'm sick of microsoft fucking with rare, making them spew out utter shit. they really need to get back with nintendo. and even if they don't, nothing's stopping them from making a 3ds game anyway. they are still allowed to make games on nintendo handhelds.
dunno about anyone else, but i'm e-mailing rare right now.
Oh man! I miss back when games like this could keep my attention for hours on end. Back when games were meant to be played, not rated. I think that's part of the problem today, companies are making new innovative games to impress, overthinking them, making them too complex, and aren't sticking to basic, familiar gameplay. I'm not completely downing today's games, but it's just so easy to get bored with them lately...
@dandyzinc I kind of agree. We need more games like the Banjo-kazooie series. Although at least story-wise, Nintendo hasn't changed much of it's two main series, Mario and Zelda. No matter how long and complicated the story is, in the end it all comes down to "save the princess from the ancient evil power/dinosaur-turtle-dragon."
Although I'd bet we'd still get games like this from Rare is SOMEBODY HADN'T BOUGHT THEM AND SILENCED THEIR AWESOME. *Glares condescendingly at Microsoft.*
Hey guys, if your a RARE fan. I found a website that is really awesome! Seriously, you guys should check it out! it contains RARE unreleased games AND BETAS like Banjo-Kazooie Grunty's revenge BETA, Banjo Pilot, etc! If you dont believe me, /watch?v=-GrRKs4ngiA
also if my brother gets an XBox 360, I'll see if i can get original game in it and, if released, banjo tooie too though (live arcade?), and also see if i can get my hands on banjo kazooie: nuts and bolts, though I'm not good with racing games but oh well wouldn't hurt to try though. the only issue right now is that my brother wants a PS3, but he might get that, a 360, and , if lucky enough to get enought money, a wii.
my cousin had this game when we were younger, and i hated it because trying to pass one level was hard for me, but now since I'm older, smarter, and more patient, i can solve several puzzles and games by giving a little effort, but it was too late, he no longer had his games and i was a bit upset, and i forgot the title 'til recently when i was in manga club and someone brought it in, didn't play much though cause some jerk hogged it the entire time. anyway i watch gameplays and i enjoy watching
Just thinking about this game makes me wanna cry. I love it so much. :) It was the best game I've ever played, next to the second one. Of course, since I was a little girl when I played this, some of the bosses scared me. Heck, the mechanical whale scared me! I still have this game, and I have yet to beat it. I was too intimidated by the bosses, lol XD
@eclectica1 I had let one of my friends borrow the game but, his older brother decided to raid his room and sold all his N64 games including mine. got to keep his stupid racing game
AH!!! It's like a blast of nostalgia... I was just watching funny Courage the Cowardly Dog bits, then typed this in. I wish I still had my N64. :( This game, SM64, Fur Fighters & The Bouncer (PS2 games), Pokemon Stadium, all of those... I'd love to play them again.
You know, skipping the Nostalgia era, born in the PS1 era and not getting a N64 or anything Nintendo like, I feel like I missed childhood. I went to E-bay and bought a N64 and Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie. I decided that my kids will play those games first.
I'm 21 and play Battlefield 3, Call of Duty, Dirt 3, Total War: Shogun 2 und many more at the moment. But I still can't decide what is in my opinion the best game ever.
@chobo500 *continued* I also hated the out of sync cutscenes in Tooie on the XBLA version, I mean they can make the framerate faster yet they can't keep the cutscenes going at a speed that's not screwed up even though the 360 is supposed to have more power than the N64? I mean how can they not get the cutscenes to not be out of sync on the more powerful system if they can make the main game's framerate faster?
@chobo500 Yeah that's one thing I hated about the XBLA versions of Kazooie and Tooie, sure you keep the notes but why take away the ability to use the infinite items and air cheats? I mean Rare was all about letting people cheat back when they made games with Nintendo, they would even have menus specifically for entering cheats in their games, and it's stupid that they give you a hint for the Nestking cheat yet don't let you use it in Banjo-Tooie. I also hated the out of sync *2bcont.*
@SuicideCrippler Make that to 2001 because I think that's when their last game on the N64 (and final one that was actually memorable) Conker's Bad Fur Day was released. *Continued* besides I still play Banjo-Kazooie on My N64 (yes I've kept it since I got it and even though it can have some issues at times it still works and I'm glad to have kept it to this day) more than Mario 64 since I can't remember how many times I've played through Banjo-Kazooie on My N64 while its been years since plopping Mario 64 in there compared to My time still spent playing Banjo-Kazooie on it to this day. *And sorry for the long comment*.
@SUISElSEKI Yeah I own a Wii but My family has a 360, but why should we fight and limit ourselves to just one console? I mean owning more opens you to a lot more games than just the ones you have, I mean why miss out on the one's that are console exclusive? You get more out of having more than one console than you would just owning one.
Remember when we thought these graphics were really high tec? I can name so many great nintendo 64 games. I can't name any good wii games or gamecube games except maybe mario galaxy or legend of zelda
@MushroomGalaxy69 *Continued* but to prove I do prefer the N64 version I will say I really miss the N64 logo being a part of the opening with the buzzbomb (the yellow dragonfly enemy in Bubblegloop Swamp and Click Clock Wood) in the clouds, I don't know about you but the opening just feels so empty without the N64 logo just strolling along in the sky thinking it saw something and continuing to stroll, it just really kills the logo joke.
@MushroomGalaxy69 While I do prefer the N64 version I have to disagree with you there, I hate being in a wold having almost all the notes and then dying and having to start from the beginning, it's especially annoying in places like Rusty Bucket Bay and Click Clock Wood, that's why I liked it when Tooie did what it did with the notes being collected for moves and not losing them when you die. So I actually prefer them getting rid of best note scores but to prove that I do prefer the N64 *2bcont.
I really miss the old days when the real epic games were made by Nintendo and Rare! Now we don't have epic games these days!! :( I used to have alot of fun with the N64 playing epic games like SM64, BK, BT, SSB, DK64, etc! I will never forget the Awesome times when I was a kid!! The N64 will never be forgotten, and I hope someday Nintendo will make a comeback with epic games like these!!!
@nawaf10soccer Super Mario Galaxy, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (and soon to be Skyward Sword). Just naming a few. They're still pumping out great games buddy.
@IamFearLezz I think it's a little hard to look at. Something about all the wacky colors. I'm not a graphics whore, but I don't like the display in this game. I also don't like all the collecting. The graphics are great though, and the different things you could do with banjo kazooie were very creative and cool. I have better games to invest my time on still.
hey guys i got a rare tribute on my channel. give it a view and a like. if i get enough likes im making a petition to get rare back where they belong

Banjo and Bird Make music I love,
While Grunty waits for them above,
They rescue coloured people and travel around,
But wherever they go follows an amazing sound,
On a beach, or In the snow,
Getting Up the tower they not do slow,
May BK, Tooie and and more,
Stay in our hearts forever until we open the next musical Door.

@michaelfinley420 It's sold in stores for like 25 dollars. I don't think so. A lot of people would like to get their hands on this game. Try again.

@TheFatty2497 biggest mistake of your gaming life, and no, there's no way possible you can dislike this game
IamFearLezz 5 months ago
@IamFearLezz I think it's a little hard to look at. Something about all the wacky colors. I'm not a graphics whore, but I don't like the display in this game. I also don't like all the collecting. The graphics are great though, and the different things you could do with banjo kazooie were very creative and cool. I have better games to invest my time on still.
