Yeah, second gear would have done the trick...I remember trying to cross a creek on my 50 when I was little, before I knew it the water was up to my waist and my bike was flooded...
They put it on youtube to share with friends & family, nothing wrong with that... these are memories worth keeping... & he probably could have made it with a little more speed... keep going kid! You'll do good
