Ok so I'm going to be completely objective here. First of all, China and the U.S won't go to war. Second of all, the United States armed forces are vastly superior to any other in the world. Statistically, our navy is double the size of the Chinese, our air force is six times the size of the chinese, and the marines and army have far better equipment and training than anything china has to offer. Couple of rice farmers with ak's can't put a dent in the overall combat power of the U.S.
China's current navy is pretty much non-existent, rendering any overseas operation impossible. For us to go to war with you guys, we'd have to at LEAST build up some way to get our troops and planes to you guys.

@RealNarod28 They may have bought the initial designs from the russians but they would have undoutably heavily modified the designs to suit their own needs. The terrain and climate in russia is very different to chinas. Just taking russian hardware and using it in china would not be ideal.

How we killed bin Laden is a strong proof of that, and since we did it to him, we could also do that to anybody if we want to. So, don't give China too much credit on its military might cause it is still far behind the U.S. China and U.S. could potentially have war over security in East Asia. It's not strictly black and white like how money can influence our foreign policy.

I mentioned them because they happen to be important, and could potentially go to war with the U.S. in the future.

anddddd the only reason China still exists now was because Truman decided to stop MacCarter from invading China during the Korean war. Chinese helped out North Korea, because MacCarter wanted to go through and enter China, and was ready to use A-bombs again, to quiet the Chinese. WWII was followed by the war between capitalism and communism, and the containment policy of Truman ... Look around China, most of the Countries are US allies, or Us are tryin to do get them in.

@Seres1091 Well, some previous tanks were clear replicas. So I have no reasons to consider it's not the regular replica. There are still a few interesting details such as an auto loader which suspiciously reminds the Russian's one. The transmission looks like a copy of the T-72's transmission. At last Type 99 is the Chinese made tank.

@BorshCaen Yes, China did replicate many designs of the glorious Soviet Union like the obvious type-56, but with higher tech you must look at the finer details of the weapon than general appearance. The newer model Type-99KM has a cannon 155mm capable of firing kinetic rounds; it also has transparent ceramic alumina armor and can reach speeds of 80 km/hr. On the other hand, T-72 only sports a 125 mm cannon with obsolete composite armor. Appearnces can be deceiving.

Also it's clear whose concept was used. Type-99 made a longer to accommodate the German's engine. It shows once again that the original design wasn't suitable for such a big engine. Russians are the only whose the main tank is a small enough. Yep, it's the common sense! :)
