Probably cant eat the gum, because during training they dont want anyone choking on it during any of the training or drills you have to accomplish and the dessert thing is probably just to break people of certain habbits they have. The military's way of "owning you". Either way i dont really give a shit lol

The British ones are better, just rip off the tin foil bag and eat. If you want it heated, put the foil bag in a saucer (they come in your backpack) with boiling water

i had one when i went to this shelter (most of my town was out of power for a week during the Halloween snow storm in CT) and beside the fact that the bag smells like pure SHIT when it's heating up, the food is surprisingly great.
