story of my life and the odd shit is first time hearing it, after i changed my life. since its everyday stugle not to get back into the old routine this song will keep me going in the right direction.
stay real, stay strong, be true to yourself, and never forget we will all answer for everything we done, so when time comes hope we are not ashamed of our story
No worries, sweet.....I've been called worse than a jackass, lol. You're right about the flaws in the system, which was created by people with flaws and an agenda. When I said choices, they're not only the ones we make, but also the ones that are made for us w/o our consent or agreement.
Just like dude said, you have choices. You can choose to be a thug, or not. You can choose to an idiot, or not. No one forces you to take the wrong fork in the road, so don't blame a negative situation on anyone but yourself. That's why God gave you the spirit of discernment.
@hotdrumchick The point of this song was to say that some people face daily struggles and obstacles that most people dont have to deal with, and these people are more likely to go down the wrong fork in the road. so this song was made to encourage those people to stay on the right path. dont be a jackass
@skins189lbs Yes, I know what the point of this song was. You only reiterated my comment; thanks. It's still about choices, just like you chose to be a stupid fuck and call me a jackass.
@hotdrumchick Im sorry i called you a jackass and I must've misunderstood your comment, but it sounded insensitve and ignorant at first. After rereading it I agree. However, if someone cant see that there are flaws in the system that are responisble for influencing people to make the wrong chocies then they're ignorant. There are people in the negative system that "make it" and thats great, but for those who dont and are labled a "no good thug" the system is to be blamed more than the individual
@skins189lbs This is based on a Marxist view and sort of liberal view of human nature. And i agree with karl marx that humans are generally good, but when thrown into the bottom of a class system the crime inevitably occurs
Whats the name of the singer please?!?! Anyone know? wow, he's a good singer... Good music don't need to be from your top 40 hits on your radio and tv!
I cannot get enough of this song. Such good music, good points... Every time I hear it I gotta stop doing what I'm about to do, sit down, listen and just think about life and shit. I really do have the feeling that I have to dig deep to find some good hip hop music. Mainstream rap is not doing it for me anymore... Thx so much for keeping hip hop like this ....
@noble7899 that's not the 90's, it's year 2006... and the first Dead Prez CD appeared on year 2000. 90's were better than this song, and i say it cause i lived it...
great joint ...outlawz and dead prez great crew keep it comin' homeys great job great job, congrats great team i would like to see hussein to with you guys and the rest of the outlawz don't let the dream die, great job , peace :)
This is getting me back up after I done feel soo low regarding my grades, soccer and life adn dreams in general, now i'm dusting myself and keep on going.
Thanks...I'm downloading some stuff now ;-) It's just I live in Spain and listening to all this spanish hip-hop, which is absolute PANTS, had really put me off. This type of stuff however is real cool!

Most of the land actually belongs to the corporations. But your point is still valid.
When the people have no power we have to work for any pittance they offer us to survive. Economical slavery.
