@carolinabronco I dont have the contact anymore....I do know you keep trying and all support is different. Its hit or miss , same with just about anything. Just ask for someone with the iphone. The settings work as far as the most part and it seems it allows tmobile to tmobile mms....but there are some issues, I was never fully able to figure it out and gave up. But this is what ive gotten.....I will search around though and try to assist. Also shave , children....wth? LOL your crazy.

Can send/rx calls, texts, can send pic messages... just can't get them. I get the same 'restriction' message :( Email your contact there back and repost? Tmobile told me nothing they can do today....

@samgulha 3g iphone or 3gs...welcome to slow 2g or edge internet. Its decent though and gets the job done. You can stream pandora and slacker (when they get their software right...right now its fucked again on 4.0) As well as any youtube video....but yeah internet phone browsing just isnt even close to what it should be...
@samgulha if you have the iphone 3g the ios 4.0 firmware update, it isnt made for that phone i was having the same problem. you have to restore your phone to 3 or 3.1.3 anything but the 3.2 cause that update breaks the jailbreak. after you do that you should have faster internet

ok im switching over from a sidekick data plan. and im getting connectivity because its acessing the web but its only allowing me to see the page which says i need to contact my service provider but i have web in my plan i spoke to a tmobile rep n they said the device wasent set up to use tmobiles web...any ideas?
i got a 8900 to replace one that was stolen. i dont have data service but this didn't affect my mms before but now with this new BB my MMS doesnt work. keep saying "no mms service record,message cannot be sent.you will only be able to save to draft". I saw some setting online for the APN Name, messaging server and data mode. I found the APN Name but i do not see anything that says "messaging server" or "Data mode". Where can i find these? is there another way to get around this problem.

We have the resources that explain everything that you just explained and we setup the iPhone on our network every single day. No laws are being broken and we CANNOT help jailbreak or unlock the phones.

go to general, network, then cellular data network then down to MMS then go to MMS Max Message Size and put in 1048576 i just did that today and it works now :)

I had same issue, Go to Cydia and search for Legacy and you will see 2 tabs click on the first one (T-Mobile US-Postpaid) Install and confirm be sure to click on the 1st one not the 2nd. Once its done installing restart your iPhone. Then tell some one to send you something. I am now able to even get audio! Hope it helps.

most likely you dont have a 2g acctually, if you dont have the cellular data network icon which i had the same problem then you need to download a program on your computer called iphone configuration utility!!! which will allow you to put in the apn seetings and such from your computer with your iphone plugged in

Mikesho, I have downloaded the activatemms and followed the instructions in the video, yet I do not get all the mms apn settings. All I get is the "cellular data" settings. I have rebooted the phone as well. Please help...
2g's I dont think apply to these settings with activatemms , you might need to add these settings into activatemms... Ive never seen that prog or worked with it. All I can say is this is the settings provided by tmobile at the time the video was made.

I had same issue, Go to Cydia and search for Legacy and you will see 2 tabs click on the first one (T-Mobile US-Postpaid) Install and confirm be sure to click on the 1st one not the 2nd. Once its done installing restart your iPhone. Then tell some one to send you something. I am now able to even get audio! Hope it helps.

I have a 2g iphone and put the APN in. There isnt a section for MMSC or Proxy
The internet however does not work so I dont know what to do. Data is turned on, wifi is off and I did restart

I have a 2G but I can't find the same settings you show on the vid..? All I see under network is the APN,Username, and Password.
How did you get the MMSC option? or Proxy?

Yes u need to have an internet pachage in order to access the Edge internet runnin on Tmobile on ur unlocked iphone 3g/3gs

most likely you dont have a 2g acctually, if you dont have the cellular data network icon which i had the same problem then you need to download a program on your computer called iphone configuration utility!!! which will allow you to put in the apn seetings and such from your computer with your iphone plugged in

Here is my deal. I have a 2G, and EVERYTHING is working with with a bunch of different settings.
Will these new setting let the incoming pictures come in clear? I see some people still have issues with them.

if you have the $9.99 plan these settings will not allow you to have mms & browse the internet. To browse the internet under cellular data network apn you must use: internet2.voicestreamdotcom

Mikesho, I have downloaded the activatemms and followed the instructions in the video, yet I do not get all the mms apn settings. All I get is the "cellular data" settings. I have rebooted the phone as well. Please help...

2g's I dont think apply to these settings with activatemms , you might need to add these settings into activatemms... Ive never seen that prog or worked with it. All I can say is this is the settings provided by tmobile at the time the video was made.
