to the person who wants to know why mannix was so popular or influential. just get the dvds being released on mannix ( season 5 on july 5 2011) and you will see why.
Produced by Dino de Laurentis -- the mark of non-quality. This amusing campy spoof was on TV in the late '60s. Haven't seen it since. Pretty entertaining in a half-serious Matt Helm sort of way. It also shows how just about everyone - Mike Connors, Gene Barry, Vince Edwards, even Lorne Greene -- took a crack at being a 007 like spy back in the wacky '60s.
@intrepidlikes Seyna Seyn is also seen (as Wilma Soong) entering a metal box to be frozen in cyro-suspension at the 1:26 mark. Maybe that's why you don't see her in any other YouTube clip LOL! There's a post analyzing the sequence on the Pretty Vacant Thoughts blog.
Forgot that D Provine was pretty sexy in her day. As for Michael Conners, those not raised in the U.S, for 10 yrs he was "Mannix" on primetime, and that was a very influential series. Did Intertech know about these activities.
@captkronoscorvinus pardon my ignorance but I am really intrigued by Mike Connors. I don't know much about him. Could you possibly tell me why Mannix was so popular or influential?
@terrryc Yes, Se tutte le donne del mondo also known as Kiss the Girls and Make Them Die was made with one of the largest budgets of the Eurospy genre, no doubt about it, even so I must say as a devoted fan of Euroespionage that I am insulted by your remark exclaiming this film to resemble excrement.
@intrepidlikes You've got great taste friend, that would be the divine Seyna Seyn, you can see her also in the Eurospy films Agente 3S3: Passaporto per l'inferno, Agente segreto 777 - Operazione Mistero and Niente rose per OSS 117, among others...
If you are not that interested in the genre however would like to a film that really worships her, I recommend Fugitivos de las islas del sur also known as The Drums of Tabu, directed by Javier Setó. She literally co-stars alongside James Philbrook.
@oliverwright19 By the way, how come I cant find her other films on youtube? Was Seyna Seyn a small-time starlet then? She resembles that other beautiful asian-looking woman on 'Lipstick Jungle" in TV. Can't remember this other one's name.
@intrepidlikes It's no wonder you can't find her other films on here, they are quite rare indeed, you can get them but only full length and in dubious quality (Niente rose per OSS 117 has been released on DVD though and Agente 3S3: Passaporto per l'inferno can be found as a TV rip on public trackers also known as download) the rest are only available in VHS like prints, she only starred in 19 films to be exact, and all of them were Italian or Italian co-productions with other countries.
i remember watching this movie on morning theater back in manila, philippines growing up and i loved it. especially the rolls royce. i thought it was so cool back then.
sometimes a banana is just a banana? all these weird '60s movies; if the chicks ain't tryin to take over the world, they're getting frozen in giant test tubes.
I believe the theme music used in this trailer is called "Upperseven". A shame if Wetriveratt is correct in that this theme music was not used in this film. I remember watching this on TV when I was a kid and greatly enjoyed it. Mike Connors really looked a bit like Sean Connery.
Very nice intro from SomethingWeird Videos. Although I doubt that the music used was from the film. Nice cut by SomethingWeird Videos. I have a few on my shelf as well. In all event's it's a nice intro and did a nice job cutting the trailer pic with music.
Saw this when it came out at the show....this was when movies were fun to watch.....whish it was on DVD.

I can't believe that Brazilian authorities allowed them to film this turd on the Christ Statue at Corcovado. They must have paid a heavy bribe.....
