In order to destroy 101 of French and British divisions, to invade Poland and move to France, the Wehrmacht Army took ... 25 divisions. Results for the capture of Norway, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to the Germans took 135 divisions. Feel the difference, 600 to the Soviet Union and about 150 for Europe. Of course the division were in Africa, but they were few in number.

@robertus911 I hate to ramble on like this But durn WW1 at Vedum where the trench warfare was going on. (Attrition warfare). Did the french ever think maybe we could dig and tunnel under no mans land and all the way to the german trenches.Once under the german trenches you could dug up and placed some bombs right under neath them right. Now with artillary fire then blow up the bomb under neath the trenches one could easly break the lines throw no mans land.

@robertus911 One has only to say that the 500 divisions of the Wehrmacht and the 100 divisions of Germany's allies was directed against the USSR. This is almost 80% of all the forces of Germany, the remaining 20% were at war in Western Europe and Africa. And are you proud that you were able to win 20%. Well done. Only if the USSR was defeated, all the 600 divisions would go to Europe and America and now you would be slaves to the World Nazi regime

I was just posting this comment cause some guy was acting like Russia was the savior of the west.Which they only got into the War because Germany attack them, they would've been happy to sit back and watch Germany rape Europe.
I can acknowledge though that splitting the Germans forces into two fronts is major reason why the war came to an end and that without the Soviets the results could have been different

@bdenniso And the proportion of forces that I mentioned are correct. Judge for yourself: Poland lost 6 million people. France lost 600,000 men. U.S. lost 400,000 people. The USSR lost 27 million people. This is more than half of all victims of World War II (47 million). And you tell me that the balance of power was different. Where are these tens of millions of deaths in Western Europe? They are not, because blow fell on the Soviet Union and that Soviet union became a major rebuff to the Nazis.

In order to destroy 101 of French and British divisions, to invade Poland and move to France, the Wehrmacht Army took ... 25 divisions. Results for the capture of Norway, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg to the Germans took 135 divisions. Feel the difference, 600 to the Soviet Union and about 150 for Europe. Of course the division were in Africa, but they were few in number.

@bdenniso Sorry to cut in yr dialog with trofimov174. I just checked wiki. It claims that at all times starting from German invasion to USSR in1941 the Germans had anywhere from as high as 80% down to 60% (by the war end) of their troops on the eastern front. Regards.

@RussianAussie33 Yea, one year they had on average 80% of the forces in the east, after they had already blitzkrieg the shit out of Europe, and had it on it's knees (before Russia even got involved). The rest of the war was 40% forces in the west 60% in the east, which if he said that I wouldn't have argued with him.
The Russian also got alot of materialistic Aid from britian/US, they by no means won the war by themselves but did play a major role.
