Good memories of Kash Minbar... What a game race here, and the move he made on the last turn in the '76 race you've posted was pretty amazing. Can't say the same for the drive that night though... Kash Minbar was owned by a client of my father's though, and my brother and I would prod Dad to call him to see if they were expecting a good race each time he ran. Not sure if this was the race but I know we cashed for a lot one time when he won and paid $33 and change.
Great tape. A long remembered, much missed racing landmark in my former hometown, Westbury. Note the voice leading into Jack E. Lee -- Spencer Ross, who co-hosted the Channel 9 harness-racing show then with Stan Bergstein (today a columnist for the Daily Racing Form).
