@DessieandAbby i think the easiest and safest and strongest way to swim is just doing the back float. Keep the back of your head in the water with nose and mouth just above the water. Then kick your feet lightly so your mid section does not sink. Also use your arms to propel. Take a deep breath and hold it in the whole time then the body becomes like a balloon full of air that can not sink. low energy / swim i use a lot when i swim in the ocean.

Its a shame seeing the number of posts from people who dont know how to swim. Im very fortunate as my mum was a swimming teacher so I've been swimming all my life including lifeguarding. I currently teach kids swimming also and please, if you want to be able to swim, dont just post on youtube, go and find a teacher and learn.You're missing out on a world of fun. Just bite the bullet, ignore the people who give you grief and just learn! You'll wonder why it took you so long. Enjoy
