this suv it's perfect economy power, space safety luxury and good looking exterior and interior , but it has one problem the elctronic gearbox when it'[s used as shift tronic it's to slow skips the gears and dont let you go down gear too, still I love it :)

I have a 06 Santa Fe is great it has only 33500 mi on it. the only bad thing is when you put it in sport mod it skip gears. so dont think its crap because its Korean. I like the 10year 100,000 mi woranty.

Ha ha! You're funny, joostfeyenoord! I've owned this vehicle for 2 years with NO problems. Although I have owned high end automobiles, the 2007 Santa Fe remains one of my favorite rides. Hyundai and its sister company, Kia, are the only ones that have posted profits for the past year. Pretty good for a company that manufacturers "ugly" cars that "freaks" drive. Actually, it appears that the only ugly freak here might be you!

that is due to testing esc system when you start the car. it goes away as mileage builds up.

I was looking at a Jeep Patriot to replace my 2005 Hyundai Tucson (with which I was very happy). And ran out after seeing the shitty service from the greasy salesman. After reading online reviews and about Jeep's all round reliability issues I gave up on the idea. I bought a 2008 Santa Fe yesterday. I love the damn thing.

You will love it, had mine 8 months and got rear-ended, thought i would kill the kid.... But now its fixed and i can enjoy it again.... Its a great car for a great price.

well i cant tell you for sure, because ive dealt with this only once, and they stated it was his fault, but common sense would say that you should be almost always right, unless you are parked or standing still someplace you shouldnt be, but otherwise, you did nothing to provoke the accident, youre not moving, so you should be right, but like i said, thats just a common sense opinion, i cant tell you how it would officially work

I agree totally. My mom has an XG350, and i did notice that the ride in her car is a lot smoother than the one in my Santa Fe. But it's totally forgiveable. Nothing is as rocky are bumpy as the Jeep Commander. I feel secure in my Santa Fe. Surprisingly it sits as high as a large SUV, but drives very much like a car. The Commander left no ability to feel secure. The whole ride had me paranoid of either having an accident and/or flying out of the seats.
