Nature doesn't have ways of doing things that it "wants". This is over-personification again. A species is defined by the inability to have viable offspring- otherwise it's just a breed or a type within a species. It's not nature's rules it set up, it's just rules set up by semantics.

While im no expert, that bit they had on combining human DNA with a chimps sounds kinda dodgey to me ;-(. Isn't conception of a new organism when the chromosomes from the two gamete cells pair off and make zygote with a complete gnome?. I thought that the DNA remains intact unless a cell is undergoing mitosis.

Oliver is just another freak of nature that is exploited to make money. SAD. I wish that the animal trainers never allowed Oliver to be exploited. An animal sanctuary that gives forever homes to circus animals and animals that were somebodys pets would have been best. He deserved no less after being sold for entertainment purposes.

Kinda remember hearing about Oliver. Thanks for posting. Personally I think that messing with DNA and crossbreeds is going to lead to the death of mankind. Ragdoll kitties are a great example. Something made us the way we are for a reason. Accept it and move on.

Strange, thats all Im saying. Who knows what Oliver was? And for the record it would be mighty difficult to crossbreed a Human and Monkey, we are completely different species. I know there are Ligers but they are felines the DNA is close. I know this is sickening but many humans both male and female fuck animals but you dont see human/dogs running around.
