  • I like this song

  • This is one of my favourite videos on Gu Zheng in youtube. I know that the player may not be professional, that I am a total ignorant on the issue... but I really like the way she interprets the song.Congrats!

  • If you're a guitar player, you aint nothin.(no offence to any guitar player)

  • is there any virtual Guzhengs online?

  • Guzheng is such a beautiful sounding instrument. Awesome playing!! n_n

  • awsome playing XD

  • Hello! I love this music, I think I already hear it in a video of a twelve girls group, they also played other instruments with whitch they played with an electronic music background, and that was so amazingly beautiful and great, but unfortunately the video have been removed by YouTube since, and even if we couldn't see the whole concert, I'm just disgusted :(! So, that said, could you tell me which music it is? Thank you :)! ps : Please, do write me on my page or in private! Thanks again!

  • Blown away! Thank you!

  • cool. nice play. Where did u get your guzheng?

  • You are incredible!!

  • dude you're awesoem , but this needs a biittt more emotion to it :p , but other than thaat its great :D

  • @happiifaace everyone plays differently, some people are more relaxed, other are more tense.

don't criticize others playing, especially when you can't play yourself.

it's like if there is a folk tale, everyone tells it differently, but it has the same plot... i love hearing this song, i don't care who's playing it, or how, it carries the same spirit.

  • @NoSleepSheep sorry, didnt mean to offend or anything. just wanted to give a bit of advice because i play too.. didnt mean to critisize either.

  • @happiifaace i was being a bit crude, i apologize.

  • In Chinese 你 帅 呆 了 !

  • Btw try to make ur movements fit the music; the movements here are far too soft for the beginning and end. For this piece, soft movements work only for the middle section. Btw, who's your teacher?

  • You should work on making it sound more like a typhoon and not, as others have said, a wind blow.

  • Good: clarity, movement

  • this vid has it all: a really cute girl and an excelent performance! ^^

  • nice but emocial esence missed

  • its fight with the typhon????

  • is there schools in florida that might have private lessons

  • @xxcreekqt17xx .. idk but if u find out let me knoww please!!! ^^

  • What is this song called? I've seen the woman in the 12 Girls Band play it.

  • Hey! Uhm yr entrance was okay... theres some parts that you have to go slow and fast. Some parts softer , some parts louder. Its a complete mess...but you do know the song very well :) Thats a good thing. Some parts , u have to show the power of the typhoon, and like what others say, its not a wind breeze, its a typhoon! When you press down your string, you have to make sure it sounds smooth with what you're playing. Anyway, you're not too bad yeah :) can always improve.

  • im amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzed

  • good.. but ur techniques need a little more practice... didn't portray the power... but keep working at it!!!!

  • I really like the ending part...where it gets all gentle and settled...

  • slowest 戰臺風 i've heard

it's more like a cool breeze

  • That's extraordinary for one so young!

  • very clear notes, but you have to move and play faster.

  • She's too stiff -.- if its an exam/competition, she definitely wont go far. i'm serious.

  • you take the exam before?

i wanted to go and take..maybe after exam??

  • yup haha took for dunno how many years le. jia you if you are (:

  • i bet you have alot of solo scripts??

  • Lol uh from books? (:

  • you have it?

  • I would love to see a video that represents your idea of ideal playing

  • wow ive always wanted to learn how to play this. but uhh i think self teaching would be pretty difficult. but im pretty familiar with a guitar so i guess i have some kind of head start....even if a little

  • lol...i have the solo script..do you wan it?

  • oh thank you very much but i actually wasnt too clear, i meant "i've always wanted to learn how to play the gu zheng" im going to get one soon so it looks like it will be years until i am even ready to fathom such a script

  • awsome skill like god hands and sounds like heaven speach

  • 彈不出這首歌的力度,按音不準.風聲彈得很怪.

  • Ho very ho.

  • great! I want to learn Gu zheng, It's very nice music.

  • i play the gu-zheng TOO :DDDDDD

  • this is awesome

  • OMB i like that :)

  • Wow very nice =D

  • 站台风厄~ 你是何老师的学生吗?

  • i love makking guzheng beats

would you mind if i sampled this?

  • go ahead! just send me the link to your music later though, I wanna see how it turns out~

  • AWSOME

  • ole maruis, Hein josang, Even josang and joey ho on gu zheng, are the heroes

  • Where can I buy one of these instruments, makes me want to learn how to play one!

  • Find a teacher and have her get you one. It's not like walking into a music store and buying a clarinet. Mine is from Xi'An. A beautiful instrument which I would never have been able to get without my teacher's guanxi.

  • Listening to it builds up my spirit

  • Wow! Great job! I just got a new Gu Zheng a few weeks ago, and I'm actually able to play bits and peices of this song. Which is pretty good for a beginner, right?

  • could go alot faster, but no technical mistakes at the fast part. although the intonation at the pretty section needs alotta work

  • Excellent performance!

  • How long have you been playing?

  • This is really good! Do you remember it all?! My teacher uses a diff technique (with no plucks, just our nails) and makes us not look at the strings, just the music.

  • wat song is this btw?

  • the song is called "Zhan Tai Feng" or "The Fight with the Typhoon."

  • ur really good!

  • i now that song! try to relax more with ur fingers. i heard that song like one million times, but was never good enough to play it :(

i can play bits of the piece

  • wow, so cute,...and good skill...and amazing song.I also have a guzheng, but nobody can teach me,...so bad!

  • ha! this is such a lively instrument! i love it. very very nice performance.

  • What a cruel comment on the previous posting. I think it is very well done, and in a good rythm/tempo as well. Congratulations. You play beautifully.

  • how long have you been playing ive only been playing for 3 months xD

  • Absolutely wonderful music playing.

  • very nice . me also learning this song .

  • can you please email me the music sheet for this song? Please please.

  • How long have you been playing for? ive been playing for only a year and you seem soo advanced =\

  • good girl!! I wish I can play like her as well.

  • good job Joey...now teach me that shit...lol

  • im still wondering where you go that guzheng its cool...and i want to know if its the travel size that i think it is..

  • its not a travel size~ it's actually a big size

  • ey giv me more vids of guzheng performance leh raygun

  • Is that a travel size Guzheng? 55" Rosewood yes?

  • wonderful...i wanted to learn this song my instrutor dont want teach my whole group...so sad...but u play wonderfully...i know quite some songs maybe i shall post it next time...keep up the good work

  • Wut song is this?

  • Zhan Tai Feng or The Fight with the Typhoon.

  • <33 i love this song..

brings back memories when i did a duet to this song (i play pipa)

    (: nicely played

  • i love, love, love it!!!! =) !!! BRAVO!

  • yay zhan tai feng

XDXD I play guzheng too, so i know how difficult this song can be

  • You are cute!

  • you are cute

  • overall, it wasnt that bad. mediocre maybe. there were obvious flaws in her performance such as lack of emotion. her fingers seem... stiff? awkward? i cant really find a word to describe it. and like sparklingclover said, her left hand really is too high in some parts. and presses too hard on the strings in some parts of the slow part. it could use some work... :/

  • A few things to take note:

    1) The Starting should be happy or at least lively. The speed cannot be slower than your man ban.

    2) I will not be criticising on your technique or your pose or posture but rather on your expression. You have to understand this song is like a story. Zhan Tai Feng- Battle the typhoon. 5 stages: Pre-storm, storm approaching, approached and destroyed, people returning to homelands-sad, got over it, rebuilt and start again.

  • So your "man ban" is actually the sad or "relieved" part, and got over it part. So it has to sound touching. You cannot play it like its very strong. You have to play it like "the storm's finally over" kind of feeling after you battled it.

  • i mean.. this song should be fast.. but she played it too slowly*

  • the song isnt fast.. i think it's kinda slow.=x.. this is called zhan tai feng.. stay hot^^hahaz.. make sure the "hua yin" reach the correct tune..=).. u pressed overshot...

  • her*

  • haha..harsh? u shud've see wat other ppl write about hers... im not being harsh.its a fact.n ppl gif negative/positive comments to hope for the best in her next time, and hope 2 c much more improvement in her.

  • i hope u understand the meaning of this song..same goes to the title of it.. Zhan Tai Feng.

:) mayb u'll get more feeling when u noe wat this song is about

  • watch out ur left hand when u finish playing a note. u're going sky high -.-

  • lower 5 was out of tune

  • u might wanna improve more on ur body movements.

are u holding something in ur right hand?u're playing as if u are.

u're too soft on this song.play wif more feeling

  • That .. was some pretty poor performance. The rhythm was poor, as well as body movement, dynamics, tremelo, lack of breath, and intonation. And she was rushing like fcking crazy. Please take this shit back and practice it some more. Thanks.

You missed a note on 2:09.

  • u didnt like any aspect of her performance at all? that seems a bit much imo. to each his own though.

  • I think you're being a bit harsh eh?

  • COOL! I like 0:43 the best...

  • Don't pluck the strings too close to the side. Makes the soound quality too 'thin'. Add on more emotion. Nice sense of rhyme. Work harder :D

  • Paws as quick as a cat's

  • OMG I LOVE THIS SONG

I practice it everytime im like really hyper. haha.

  • The music is magic and she is lovely. I send a kiss to her forehead, please give it to her. :-)

  • awesome piece!I'm still working on 'yau zi'*hand skill* it's very hard , can u give me a few tips?

  • not bad. watch the bending though, esp for the slow section.

  • yeah.. simply addicted..

  • nice technique

  • wow wee cool(: i really love this performance.. joey great job!(: ray put some more of joey on(:

  • ha ha can't get enough?

  • ammm...the hands is too tension...

  • My teacher just finished teaching our class this song. I still can't play it as well as she can, though. Really awesome performance. ^ ^ *claps*

  • Wow. This is really good! But I just wanna know.. How to you put in the different notes other than the kong xuans? Like you press somewhere right?

  • u know how u play on the right side? so u can press the strings on left side to change note. like when u play strings 1+2(do, re), press string 1 on the left side.

  • its called "zhan tai feng" also known as fighting the typhoon. A great piece :D

  • r u sure its zhan tai feng?its different from the original download

  • Heys, I've been searching for this song for so long, do you happen to know the song title?
