It was one of the slowest phones to load the web pages, has the smallest screen, it was unresponsive to the first finger gesture and it's screen (almost unnoticeable) marginally better (With the exception of the Desire's AMOLED display).
htc desire HD is a truly aawwesome phone!!! coming from someone who had an iphone user convert in a second after playing with my HTC desire HD.. HTC desire HD is far better it is a real pleasure to use. Using it is quite an experience. Its more like a throne than a phone I feel like a queen spending all day on the thing. Im someone who was against spending excessive amounts of time on phones now I find any excuse to use it. Glad I got it when I did!!! I LOVE my phone...

It's strange to see these faults in a high end smartphone.

Every company that wants to connect with people, bring out an app for the iPhone. An app for finding its free wifi hotspots. Sky, BBC, CNN, Premiership. Even your own football team has it's own dedicated application.
Just been downloading new ringtones to iTunes, just a matter of dragging to iTunes folder and all is done. Apps for iPhone which you actually pay for are so much in the minority. Then free music sites are many.

The laggy user interface was made all the more perplexing by the fact this was supposed to use a power friendly Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor - with the battety life alone, never have we wanted to throw a phone out the window more.

However, if you "Desire" a heavy breeze block of a phone with poor screen resolution, terrible battery life, poor build quality, shabby plastics, awful sound quality, a ringtone too quiet too hear,a lack of applications, no gyroscope for decent games and a poor resale value, then this is the device for you!

The Desire HD is quite frankly garbage. I was expecting a nice aluminium rear, not a rear full of cheap plastic panels.
The screen is terrible, why no amoled or retina? I sent an email to HTC, the response was "it would reduce battery life"
What flaming battery life, it sucks!
Previous phones I've bought, I have done so off the net, thank goodness I went to the store and tried this thing out,

The iPhone looks so much sleeker and smooth. At the end of the day, every single mobile phone company are trying replicate the iPhone.
So many times they have tried, but keep failing. Touchscreen phones were brought out for ease of use, but they cant understand that.
Then, all these buttons on the front of them, yet none of them swith the phone out of standby mode, you have to use the main power button at the top.
With such a humongous device as the desire hd, that's a real two handed operation.

Every company that wants to connect with people, bring out an app for the iPhone. An app for finding its free wifi hotspots. Sky, BBC, CNN, Premiership. Even your own football team has it's own dedicated application.
Just been downloading new ringtones to iTunes, just a matter of dragging to iTunes folder and all is done. Apps for iPhone which you actually pay for are so much in the minority. Then free music sites are many.
iPhone is just so simple, yet stunning, it's so sexy.

After very careful consideration and reading a number of reviews I had no option than to choose The iPhone 4.
The Desire HD seems to drink battery life like a tramp drinks special brew?!
The Desire HD is also way too big for me. If I want a small HD screen to watch movies I'll probably buy a lap top!
Putting the Desire HD in your pocket is fine, but be very careful when sitting down.
Plastic battery and sim tray covers, poor reception, shocking battery life, no lens cover.

I wanted this phone to be brilliant. What I simply can not understand or excuse, why did HTC not complete the jigsaw. Everything to make this phone be the best in the world was there, but they declined to do it.
Major design flaws including the camera stuck out the back of the device.
Poor quality plastics over sim and battery trays.
Mediocre battery life. Surely, more memory, more power and enormous screen would set the alarm bells ringing on battery life?
Steve Jobs must be laughing at this.
