Thats what amendments are for...the thing is flawed, that's why we introduce amendments to it. When it was first written, black men were 3/4 of a person...and then it got amended. Bush attempted to ammend the constitution as well, if it wasn't flawed then there would be no reason to revisit a perfect document.

Slavery started in Egypt. They were treated well much like family. The concept worked then because it was an accepted way of life. From bible times before Christ Slaves were accepted and treated well. Note any of the men of the bible, Job, Jacob, they all have slaves, wives and concubines. It was their way of life.
