The correct phrase for the ending in the anime is "open", but as for the manga, the ending is pretty much Amuto full-on. Don't quote me word for word on this, but Ikuto leaves (to find his dad, or something) and he tells Amu that he will come back for her in a few years, and she agrees (silently, but still agrees).

@princessmarron though it's pretty obvious, she's always cared for Ikuto more than Tadase, well that's what it seems it in some key episodes, like when she was at the amusement park with tadase she protected the teacup's since that was where she started to realize he isn't such a bad guy, (in other words she started to likehim) from the possessed Ikuto that was being controlled by Easter, and when she carried him to his house and took care of him. so it's pretty obvious have i made myself clear?

As one can also see on this side, I am an enormous Amuto fan, naturally I know the scenes from the Amusement park, the time when Amu cares about Ikuto and and and… however I know also a lot of scenes of Tadamu…. In the manga it's never directly said with whom she ends up. Yeah, right, Ikuto still holds Amu in his arms, but one side before Tadase and Ikuto had her in their arms.
