  • Can the belt be molded at home ?

  • I envy these so small summer sleeping bags.. my -30c North Face Tundra is the size of your Tent D:

  • Great detail. Thanks for the review =]

  • not much weight just filled it out 25lbs maybe

  • how much weight do you think you had in the video? nice presentation, thanks

  • It's great to know we have Kelty to thank for this

  • got an idea for your pad, dont know if uv already found a solution, but: put it on the front center and strap a couple of small bungees around it.....btw, thank u for the video, ive been shopping around and i think uve sold me on this one for my extended trip thru chiapas in the nextt year and many outings between lol!!!!!!! thanks again!!

  • @yrocren glad you like it.

  • Tritan, thanks for the video - its a better look at the pack than any of the Osprey videos give.

Quick question - have you ever used an Osprey AddOn Daylite? If so, how does it handle? I'm taking a 3 month trip through Eurasia this summer, and I currently have a classic Kelty ~92 liter pack... I don't need or want all 92 liters, so I was thinking I could get the 70, and to be safe (if I end up buying stuff over there) buy the 13 liter AddOn.

Love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

  • @mipake I haven't tryed the daylite add on. This is a rugged pack and would be great for your trip. Its pretty bomb proof compared to my other packs.

  • got mine today havent had the belt molded dose it make a big dirence

  • @Stj035 I was told if you have it do it . It will make a difference. I have nothing to compare it too sorry.

  • @Stj035 I found it was really nice to be molded.

  • @Stj035 It really doesn't it just goes back to normal and will mold in warm weather anyways. Throw it in the dryer or something then wear it for a bit lol

  • i was wondering if the osprey alloy frame can handle the harsh if checked-in an airport luggage.?

  • @3203257 I would think so . Its really heavy duty. Mine survived a trip to south manitou on a ferry getting pushed around. Check out the south Manitou vid on my channel.

  • @3203257 haven't tryed it but seems to hold up pretty well for backcountry camping. :-)

  • @3203257 I hope so... they sell an airport cover, I am flying to Europe this summer so we'll see how it holds up

  • @3203257 Travelled from Boston to Denver and it made it fine through AirTran and Frontier Airlines. Just make sure to check it as "backpack" and put it inside something to protect the zippers/buckles. I made up a cloth back that ties around it.

  • @3203257 Not sure if you're still wondering, but I took my Aether overseas to Spain/Portugal and it handled the check-in process well. I suggest you get the pack cover (REI version was cheaper, came with strong handle) to keep the straps from getting caught on anything.

  • I was wondering if you could cut the foam and place it in your pack next to your back.

  • @kyletango I don't see why you couldn't do this.

  • Great review man. I can't believe that I'm just now finding it. I took mine on a 4 day 43 mile trip on the Colorado Trail. It was a bit heavy at 35 lbs but it carried great. The suspension system is fantastic. Again, great vid. Keep'm coming. Oh, I still haven't figured out how to post videos to YT from my HD camera so I've given up for the time being.

  • @rowdybeaver33 did you get the camera fixed? I got a new camera for christmas the canon 1400 . Alot better video quality. works great for the price.

  • @tritan1 Good to hear from you man. The camera was fine. It was YT's dislike of .MTS files that was the problem. I bought a different editing program that has proven to be great. I've just been lazy and haven't posted anything in a while. But I will soon. Have a good weekend.

  • This is one great pack man. I decided to go for this one so i can use it for overnight trips, to multiple day backpacking with my wife and friends. Plus, I like it because unlike other ones I saw at REI this one is much more roughed and can handle a little more tough treatment.

My wife got a more delicate pack. Perfect for her. But for me, this one met my standards. Plus, I carry the tent, stove, fuel, and other stuff my self, so she can travel light.

    Hope you like it.

  • thanks for the review. i just picked up the pack yesterday and was wondering if the rain fly would fit with the z-lite pad (I have the same pad, in yellow :) and now I know....sweet.

  • @cmax10m Yes the rain cover will fit the whole pack.

  • @cmax10m I love the pack . I might look for a 2nd pack for longer trips where I want to lighten up but for family outtings this is a great pack.

  • nice vid, what litre flexi bottle is that?

  • @typerkin I have to platypus bottles .5 liter is the pink one and grey is 1 liter.

  • @typerkin 1 liter

  • thanks , glad you like it. Did a couple of test hikes with this pack since the video . Check out my channel.

  • excellent review brother. i appretiate the High-light photos at the end.
