Hi... what do you think of UNLIMITED Beatles mono Box Set ? So far 30,000 has been issued instead of original announcement of limited 10,000. What is the "collectible" value in the first 10,000 release now? and how the one can tell its the first 10,000 or whatever without any numbers on them? Total rip off market scam to me. Well, at least Japanese has WHITE OBI and re-issue with Black Obi.
Now Chinese has MASS FAKE copies including this Official Japanese release.
as i reckon, that the first albums, up to peper, MUST BE LISTENED IN MONO, is much better. and from help onwards, also in stereo, which is also awesome. but for eg, with the beatles, in stereo, is cool, but in mono is like it pumps up off your soundsystem, is magical.
Why does the box mono set only contain Rubber Soul and Help! in stereo? That seems pretty random unless their something that I am unaware of. I would've thought that White Album and Magical Mystery Tour in stereo make more sense.
The mono box set contains the original Stereo mixes from 1965 for Help and Rubber Soul. When there were first released on CD in 1987 these albums were remixed by Geroge Martin.
I don't because really. I like to hear The Beatles music in Mono. I have the mono box set and I have listen to the 1965 Stereo mix Rubber Soul only once, it's nit bad, but Mono is BETTER!
This is because the two albums were mixed for stereo twice, but only one of them was ever released. The two stereo mixes included with the box set are the two that were never released.
Is it possible, that this is a production error, throughout the whole edition? By the way - I got the UK-Version of the Mono Box. What do you think? I find it quite strange, because everything is so well and carefully produced. But those brackets... somehow they look pulpy. They seem to be a mistake.

Just one thing, that is bugging me since a few days: I also got the Mono-Box set (pardon my strange English - I'm german) and I am asking myself this question, since I un-packed my own box: Could it be, that the cartboard sleeves have been put togheter the wrong way? I mean, look at the back of Revolver. This is, where it is showing most. Those three paper-brackets. Shouldn't they be inside instead of being outsinde?
Hi, I saw your comment about Revolver. That is how it is supposed to be. It's not a mistake. It's an exact replica of the original UK vinyl sleeve of the 1966 mono lp. It has those 3 white flaps on the outside.
Meh - I was expecting the replica to go right to the grooves on the non-read side of the CDs (like an actual vinyl record) as well but alas, I was expecting too much. If Wu-Tang Clan did it I don't know why they didn't do it for this supposedly historic set.

on the mono box rubber soul and help have the 1965 stereo mixes, the regular stereo releases have a mix from 1986
