Silverchair is not at all the same any more, so I dont really consider them a surviving Seattle grunge band. Among the four most influential grunge singers, let us never forget Layne Staley, and Kurt Cobain, who with Chris Cornell, and Eddie Vedder, gave us all the best grunge songs ever.

@newtielittle1 nope, I believe Silverchair got straight onto DGR, thanks to sounding like a Nirvana rip off band. Soundgarden were only on Subpop early on in their career. They moved to STT records in 1988, with home they released their first album "Ultramega OK", before moving permanently to A&M records in 1989.

I'm not sure what label Pearl Jam started on, but it was a big one, not an indie label like Subpop
