  • This, my y-tube compadres, is simply as good as it can get. Thanks for posting this.

  • Whenever I think I'm too old to still rock, I remember that Chris Cornell is older than I am. And he can kick your ass, punk.

  • CornellsGarage my m.s.n is my profile baybe!

  • THIS IS BETTER THAN GRUNGE.. THIS IS JUST PURE GOOD FUCKING MUSIC

  • One of the worst performance of Chris Cornell...such a great song not well performed this time.

  • we need ppl like him not adam lambert

  • @Aydee2020 Adamn Lambert? he's a great singer but maybe you should be insulting another "musician" like Kesha... Adam Lambert is ok for a pop star.

  • @MissusFingerBottom ok my bad lol kesha sucks.ok who else?far east movement?hahaa jkjk

  • A God...

  • one of the best voices ever

  • Definitely the worst period of his career when it concerns his voice.

  • One of the best vocalists in rock music!! thumbs up to chris cornel!!

  • where are the chris cornells, eddie vedders , i miss the 90s when there was no such thing as globalisation...

  • fuck.. the 90's were awesome--- this was a good reminder..

  • 4 people have parkinson disease

  • fuck his voice is beautiful..FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Best vocalist ever....

  • Fucking Magical.

  • 4:04-4:08

  • chris sings like a black blues singer... fuckin awesome.

  • god he can still hit those high notes...fuckin epic...llcc

  • @zyph4lights no he can't.

  • @thehornypuppy do you just look for comments to contradict on vids? lol get a life troll

  • @zyph4lights No...just amazed of what articles and media can change peoples minds and how we always look backwards instead of actually doing something useful and how and this infectious ways of thinking really show at seemingly irrelevant stuff just like you answer. Entitling yourself over me by saying get a life...when in fact you are doing exactly what you criticize...if you have the time to answer to someone who doesn't have a life...i guess you're fucked.

  • @thehornypuppy dude what do articles and media have to do with what i think of chris cornells voice? and im only on this site like once every 2 days at the most none of what you said in your reply had anything to do with the argument, you just randomly started spouting bullshit to sound intelligent and you will lose if you want an intellectual argument so...fuck you

  • @zyph4lights terminology...i really hate that now it was a "Grunge scene". Those were really fucking great bands that are just called grunge or alternative because some idiot in a magazine named them so. And fuck yeah...the music was great back then but if we keep looking backwards...why the hell do yu think no good music comes out now? We are to busy sucking Deep Purples dick...so to speak.

    AND FUCK YOU...just because.

  • @thehornypuppy haha i see wher your gettin at i understand im sorry to have come off as hostile...im not into the whole grunge scene because once they become famous they are no longer grunge they are just another mainstream band and soon they will sellout just like greenday or slipknot...im not sayin we need to concentrate only on those old bands, im just sayin that music was 3x better in the 90s than today and we need to stop that...AND FUCK YOU TOO...for no reason

  • chris i great long live chris

  • lkn

  • loove it!

  • soundgarden is back, i'm so excited<3

  • Puta que chevere es este temazooo

  • they didnt fucking tune down

  • Chris Cornell, and Eddie Vedder, are the only ones from the Seattle Grunge scene that have survived. Silverchair is not at all the same any more, so I dont really consider them a surviving Seattle grunge band. Among the four most influential grunge singers, let us never forget Layne Staley, and Kurt Cobain, who with Chris Cornell, and Eddie Vedder, gave us all the best grunge songs ever.

  • @newtielittle1 how does silverchair evan enter your chain of thaught in reference to seattle grunge bands? they were just another copy cat band that had nothing to do with that scene, not to mention they were like 3 years to late and from a different country lol. Silverchair is embarrassing.

  • @bentzenko Silverchair was signed to subpop records with Nirvana, and soundgarden during the 90's. I think pearl jam was on subpop too?

  • @newtielittle1 A record label doesnt mean anything. They were simply not apart of that scene, they tried to be.

  • @newtielittle1 nope, I believe Silverchair got straight onto DGR, thanks to sounding like a Nirvana rip off band. Soundgarden were only on Subpop early on in their career. They moved to STT records in 1988, with home they released their first album "Ultramega OK", before moving permanently to A&M records in 1989.

I'm not sure what label Pearl Jam started on, but it was a big one, not an indie label like Subpop

  • @newtielittle1 "Seattle Grunge Scene"...ok

  • I like all of the vocal experts that are knocking Chris lol... priceless!

  • The backup vocals are HORRIBLE!

  • hes thinking about a black hole alright MJs black hole

  • Jesus christ, just go fuck some guy at a gay bar and get it out of your system.

  • 2:40 - Chris Cornell - you're failing at singing my comrade bandmember

  • i remember that creepy video when i was younger

  • Chris, why no guitar? The power of the original song was there, although the guitar solo lacked the intensity of Kim Thayhill's.

  • ya that solo sucked

  • Now Chirs songs much better and I want to risk saying that probably he is in shape back at least as in '96 (when he had some vocal problems)

  • I mean, hes like 44 years old in this vid right?! 20 years of rock and roll performances will take their toll. listen to axl rose. and look at him. chris is a fucking badass compared to axl, at least in terms of longevity.

  • medio marakongo en esta version chris... ponete la pilas guachin!!!

  • One of the best songs ever made. Makes me miss the 90's :(

But we have a new decade to look forward to. Lets hope it's almost as good as that beautiful generation :D

  • impossible. god damn. can we please note that some of the bands that Failed were about sixty times better than today's bands? where are black lab and buck cherry? COME on.

  • @TheAngrySandwich it aint looking good so far lol

  • @TheAngrySandwich Beautiful? Wich 90's are you talking about?

  • @TheAngrySandwich AiC and SG both reunited and a new Days of the New album soon. im praying for the 3 of them to tour together

  • @TheAngrySandwich I like how optimistic you are! Unfortunately most songs on mainstream radio are not as good as this one.. but there are still a few good gems!

  • @TheAngrySandwich hasn't proved to be anything special so far

  • @bassman34516 Yeah it scares me a bit, but it's only been 2 years. We can only hope for the best.

  • @TheAngrySandwich No chance, sorry.

  • look to the sky and listen to the song its a sign coming soon!!!!

  • LONG LIVE CHRIS CORNELL....

  • fooooooooDA !

  • is there still soundgarden??coz this song really caught my attention and i really hope to hear songs like this again..

  • Nope, Soundgarden is no more, unfortunately.

  • thats too bad..but i really love this song though

  • they just reformed actually.

  • Actually, Soundgarden is back!

  • I KNOW!!!! I'M FUCKING PSYCHED!!!!

  • soundgarden really is a great band and they have their own sound. it´s a shame to see cornell like this:(

  • i love his voice.... hes an amazing singer and this song will go down in history. :))

  • Great voice, I love Chris Cornells music always have. In my opinion there is thou a little bit to much echo.

  • Its a modest use if you ask me :)

  • Man What a great version Live !!! Amazing voice.

  • @gorethem Aye indeed, this is better than the Soundgarden performance of same song on MTV !!

  • he has a pretty good drummer. stays true to the original. who also chooses a very good drum set.

  • Great song'

  • chick at 1:12 looks very cute :)

  • kids dont do drugs,. our youll look like Chris.

  • Not just drugs. I lot of his looks have to do with alcohol, anti-depressant and depression.

  • @ziphire ughh Chris Cornell's freaking hot, don't know what you are talking about.

  • Its a shame Chris did a really good job but the guitaris here is no kim

  • How can you mosh to Black Hole Sun??? HAHA

  • he's so fucking bored.. of singing this song..

  • yeah i know you can tell, hes thinking omg, how many times have i sung this b4???

  • i wanna hear rusty cage or spoonman

  • I tell you what--this is a fucking impressive performance. Chris is simply amazing.

  • its sad to see cornell following the solo path of justin timberlakish NEW MODERN sonic sound...!

with being associated with soundgarden and AUDIOSLAVE made him unique and untouchable.

the vocals were and still are superflous and orgasmic....BUT mate.....u just are NOT audioslave for me and million others.

sad to see a hero for me and my generation fade away.

    SAD.

    grunge metal would live forever..!

    \m/

  • cornells best song ever!!!!!!!

  • Why does he always sing it in this wierd way solo?

  • is he the vocals from Audioslave? Damm so similarities in his voice...

  • Comment removed

  • He's from Audioslave and Soundgarden.

  • Yes he is. Soundgarden was his original band

  • Comment removed

  • Yes he is! Chris Cornell is the lead singer of Audioslave and Soundgarden :-)

  • Of course he is.

  • it feels like Cornell has lost some of the enrgy he had when he was with soundgarden

  • amazing voice. so dynamic

  • EPIC

  • Magnific.

  • He is a sellout. You just cant do artistic music in soundgarden and go with timbaland, you just cant. Even the papers in Seattle are calling him a sellout. I loved soundgarden but now, with youe great voice you are just going for money, there is no love for music and your fans in you. Just money. This is the same as if Kerry King would join Johnas Brothers, god damn it.

  • Stp hatin Mane

  • Cornell has always done what he wanted as you can tell fronting a genre its just another part of Cornell.

  • They called Bob Dylan a sellout.

  • i can see why

  • its not as bad as you are portraying it. but i agree with you. Soundgarden was amazing and so is Audioslave. i agree with you cause he just recently put out a relatively poppy album. but he has mellowed out somewat because he has a family now too. but i think he still loves the music. regardless this song right here is one of the best songs of the 90's

  • @katz047 but timbaland is a great producer, for his genre. I think he's trying something new. He's already so talented in his genre, nothing wrong with trying something different, even though it's so mainstream.

  • biggest song of the 90s was......and i hate to say this as im not a huge fan.....just check out my favs to verify this........Wonderwall by OASIS....the return of musicians and well witten songs to popular music. Mind u anything was better than the one armed one legged drummer of Techno music. even gurge

  • it's not a fast song it's not like u could mosh to this song, and it's not the biggest song of the 90s but it was big. everyone knows "smells like teen spirit" was.

  • possibly the biggest song of the 90's,and are the crowd moving? no. unbelievable XD

  • beautyful!

  • love it! love it!

  • Chris Cornell hasn't lost his range at all. Chris and Tommy Shaw have every bit of their voices. Tommy is 55 and Chris is 42 I or so.

It's amazing how dated this song, and hunger strike are. So 90's ya know

  • can anyone tell me from what year this is?

PS: I think he has got the best voice ever..damn for me it´s like a drug to listen to this, but without the bad things, it has so much power and I think I always get a bit off this power too xD

  • Its after the break up of Audioslave. So around carry on

  • From 3:47 it sounds amazing.. So pworful.. So many years later and he`s still able to add mew things to this songs. I liked it

  • I love this version of the song. Soo powerfull

  • I like the girl at 1:13

  • He is just old. Voices start to degrade once you sing for as long as he has. It's not an off night or anything. It's just a fact that he will never be able to sing as well as he used to when he was in his 20's.

  • Especially given how much he belted in Soundgarden. I'm surprised he has as much of a voice as he does, to be honest.

  • EPIC

  • Mais uma versão excelente do grande clássico!!

  • Chills.

  • Same here.

  • Relax ladies.

  • Hahaha!!!

  • gAY?

  • Great song and all, great performance by Christ, you can't get around that, but he just seemed very alone without Soundgarden behind him. :\

  • Comment removed

  • Something about Chris Cornell doing this by himself just makes be sad. Awsome song by an amazing band but this is kinda depressing. I'd rather watch Soundgarden do this as a band or not at all.

  • The best singer of the '90s.

  • absolutely one of the best ones

  • yupp and jeff buckley

  • one of the best singers in history

  • Amen to that

  • And Laney Staley from Alice in Chains

  • that echo really pissed me off

  • how come?

  • did i say his voice sounded funny, i just think he drowned out at the end notes of every line

im not saying hes a bad singer, maybe he was just tired?

  • yeah try singing for an hour straight, especially at the wide range he's singing...from what few full gigs i've sung, i can tell you it'll wear you out

  • o, i thought he was just starting

  • well i don't know exactly how long he was up there at that point...but still

  • a song like Black Hole Sun wouldnt be played towards the start.

  • good point

  • fuckin great song...brings a tear 2 my eye when i listen...everytime

  • legendary song by a legendary band .

    Long Live Soundgarden

  • EPIC performance.

Seriously though, that guy's backing vocals during the outro sucked!

*monotone voice* "Black hole sun... Black hole sun... :("

    fail.

  • He is great. Everybody has a crush on Chriss Cornell...look how he looked in his early Soundgarden period.

And 'You know my name' from the Bond film is a must hear!!

  • I have a man-crush on Chris Cornell

  • well i don't see it which means someone gave me a thumbs up to even it

  • Afrer all those vocal cord surgeries, after more than 20 years of singing, he still remains the greatest, I mean, how AMAZING, STUNNING, OTHERWORLDLY this is!???

  • The word is: EXCELLENT!
