The secular stations removed the section that talked about God specifically instead of just saying Jesus is alright [the rap section at toward the end]. They objected to Jesus as God and instead wanted to keep it to the doobie brothers original comments that play Jesus as just a man.

Music is music (originated from heaven and meant to praise and worship God,) whether it be rap, country, reggae salsa..whateva..So long as the music and words are anointed and praises God then I don't believe it's a problem at all. What would you classify David's singing and dancing in Psalms as? It could have been country or rap or even rock, but still God was pleased with it.
