Knowledge should be shared, yes, but a lot of people are afraid of understanding. Pull someone away from their cave (our modern cave being the apartment buildings and malnourished trees scattered about in this urban jungle). Away from the 9-5 workplace, and into a world of intelligence and freedom. Most normal human beings feel crippled at the thought. Security > understanding is the way of society, and as long as people fear chaos they will also fear 'true life'.
you are, of course, amazing, and deep, don't ever be afraid of that. many people still think people with autism can't be very deep or reflective or think symbolically, and you demonstrate wonderfully, that this is clearly not so for all people, its a stereotype. Keep up shattering those stereotypes Ghena. You are doing great things there.
I quite agree with you Ghena, and the people who have been outside the cave have a really hard time trying to get those still in the cave to see anything other than shadows. But they can keep trying, or showing them, and daring to be different. They can make the world a better place.
I see that Ghena has had a supportive environment in as much as possible for the last nine years. That much shows in his topic of interest and how he talks about it. Here is hoping that the next nine years of his life are good to him.
Ghena is only 9 years old but already interested in philosophy because it helps him understand the sometimes confusing world around him. Ghena's Asperger's makes him appear different to other children so he tries to learn about what motivates other people and how they think so that he could fit in better. Ghena knows that for him many things will not come naturally but that knowledge will go a long way in helping to understand and relate to others better and he doesn't do things by halves.
