Atari ST is a beautiful machine for MIDI. It's a shame that business apps on Mac and PC kicked it out of the marked. It's next to impossible to buy Atari ST in good shape these days. I had to resort to a cheaper option, which was buying Macintosh Classic and Classic II, running MOTU Performer, and Opcode Vision, respectively. Thanks for posting. I will never be able to make music on Windows. It's kind of like going racing in Toyota Camry on Honda Accord. Something is missing...
Nice to see an ST doing MIDI! I've got a Falcon030 myself. It's got better audio capabilities than the ST, but there's more things that can go wrong with it compared to the ST, since the hardware is more complex. Also, my Falcon has a CT2 accelerator, and it's a pain to boot sometimes (XBOOT doesn't like TT-RAM that much).
They were the days. i still look back now and think how good it was..... they were very limited but people still want that sort of thing now !!!! so it says a lot about how good AND How they have stood the test of time....
where can I buy it?
