Overclocking Nvidia 8600GT

my axle nvidia geforce 8600gt is crashed by 702/1544/502 also i think its an good software but not good for an axle graphics card its good for many cards but not the 1024mb version of axles 8600gt when any can help my by my problem thats then very good ;D also when anyone can help me to overclock my nvidia geforce 8600gt 1024mb oc from Axle i says thanks

memory: 700-960

shader: 1270-1608

core: 540-684

Never overclock anything with software! Only do it through BIOS unless your card came with overclocking software.

I got one of these, pretty shitty.

Can't handle the newer games, not so much in performance when overclocking, but can't keep itself cool. Even with my extra fan.

i have px8600 gts tdh extreme 256mb..standard core clock is 704 mhz..and i put on 804 mhz..and is freezing at game..now i have put on 755 mhz...what with memory clock do i need clocked that too'?

what is the name of the program that your are overcloacking your card ??

@goksa86 it's called EVGA Precision.

It allows you to overclock without adjusting your graphics settings in the bios.

It's much easier to use.

And it's only for Nvidia cards.

@Vladut199 there is no risk but make sure to not overheat the video card make sure the video card is in the save range so max C i recommend is 80C so even in 90 so dont overclock to much and if u see artifact like lil things in ur monito just drop the clock a lil bit XD

It´s not hot anyway, when I OC my 8600gt DDR2 I get 55º Idle and 75º Load...

Are you sure this is the highest you guys get? I got a Nvidia 8400GS Stock clocked at 567mhz core and 400 mem and i got to 716/575 and temp is 64C at idle and 58C on full load (Fan kicks in)

btw most of the times the video card is at 49C when i enter a game it raises to 56C is this a normal temperature or is it to high?
