  • Matt Lauer could have easily corrected the VP by saying "Sen Landrieu of your own party said that Louisiana is one of only 3 states that created jobs in December 2008. Aren't you just making things up again?" Gee, I wonder why he let it slip by.

  • I dont think the good people of Louisiana are taking kindly to the VP's remarks. I doubt they are purposeful lies, but they are certainly inacurrate.

  • Fair enough, but Jindal is just as big a liar and hypocrite, not to mention a really bad speaker.

  • I am interested in specifics. You can leave out the really bad speaker specifics. I find his speaking refreshing. I have had enough of politicians whose greatest characteristics are their speaking abilities.

  • Had enough??? There have only been two in the last 30 years: Obama and Reagan. If that's too much for you, then I respectfully suggest that you stop following politics altogether.

  • Ronald Reagan was an excellent speaker. You are correct in pointing that out. But he had other good qualities. His administration turned around an economic collapse that, contrary to what the current president says, was worse than what we are currently experiencing.

It is interesting that, while Jindal is supposedly a horrid speaker, his state is the only state in the Union to actually add jobs since December of 08. Attack the man if you want, but recognize that conservative principles work.

  • Reagan fixed the 1980's recession, but laid the seeds for the modern day one. I'm not blaming Reagan, but he is certainly more to blame for what we have today than Obama who has been President for 40 DAYS. Jindal is a highly educated man, yet he is also a very misguided man. If you don't believe he's out of touch, look at the results of the last election. Government may not be the answer, but even if that's true, it is not what most Americans believe. Jindal is finished.
