Thanks for the video. Happy childhood memories of the West Point in the 60's, and the other drive in theater that was off E. Michigan on left north side of road across from Floral Lawn, where is now a church there going towards Marshall, Mi.
Wow! I am quite impressed with your catalog of drive-in documentation, RQVOutdoorMoovies...you're doing important work, and I appreciate it very much!
Ah the good old days of B.C., I wasn't born 'til 73 but I still remember a much greater city growing up. Everybody worked at Kellogg's and had money, now all we have is a casino......I need a time machine! I wish I were older. Thanks for the great vid., makes me all nostalgic.
@ERock73 I believe we are all born when we are supposed to be born, but I agree. Imagine being born before TV or even silent movies. The 4 movie palaces and 5 drive in theaters I enjoyed are all gone. We lost our civic center and ALL the historically significant mansions and houses. The housing project that occupies the WEST POINT site could have been built anywhere, shame on developoers, thanks for the comment, it keeps me going.
thank you for your videos. In Ct. we were lucky enough to have 2 drive-ins operating. Last summer the town of Southington reopened one screen of their drive-in for civic group fund raisers. From what I understand, the experiment was a big success, and the town is planning on doing it again this summer. It would be great if more towns that have abandoned theaters, could try the same thing.
@donho1950 Thanks for the great drive in news. feedback is always appreciated. When I see a closed down drive in...I see potential for rebirth. sounds like you got some pretty cool civic groups!
@michigandriveinscom We talked about this back in the day. Can't remember when it was shot. The owner was the guy that ran all the pornos who used to have an office by the airport.
i have enjoyed this video, especially when you show the snack bar area.i hope you will show more videos of drive ins,i have never been to this drive in,so i dont know where it,s located.
i wonder if there are any more abnadonded drive in left.

The West Point Drive-In was on the west side of Battle Creek, Michigan. Two questions.... when was this video shot? and who was the owner?
