I personally own a Presto Lite 2005 model and was thinking about buying the Speed one or the 2006 presto but it didn't Have carbon fiber handle bars and had to much head adjustment just what I don't need. I find the Presto Lite runs as fast as any other bikes but only 3 gears limit it's speed.
hmmm... I don't think a hub choice makes the Dahon bikes suck in general... the hub in question is actually a great hub. I've used them over some long hauls.
I would say Dahons in general are great rides for folding bikes... unlike other overrated brands such as Brompton, which feel like they are about to fall apart when you go over a curb or pothole.
Too bad Dahon bikes suck in general. I've read on several boards that the >$1000 SpeedPro is spec'd with a rear hub that is not intended for performance use.
Looks like a quality bike.
Whatever you do don't waste your money on an "Abio" folding bicycle.
Total waste of money.
