We are talking about sexual addiction. It can involve visiting dangerous places and even having sex with people with whom you do not want to have sex. We are also talking about suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts.

 You are absolutely right..it IS like any other addiction although some like "ritter89" on here would say the problem doesn't exist. It's a form of escapism from negative emotions which leads to loss of self control, anger & self hatred ..BUT there is a positive cure. It doesn't have to be connected to orthodox religion but a capacity for inner love & acceptance. (this doesn't mean acting out ones addiction though) It means stop being a slave to our bodies.
