Answer: From all my experiences over the past several years I'd say at most MAYBE 5-10% of self-identified Republicans are still sane. Most of the sane, sensible and moderate conservatives have already left the party and either become Independents or Democrats. Almost all of the people still left in the Republican party are either Neocons, Religious Right fundies or insane right-wing populists. However, most of the sane 5-10% still left in the party have shades of Neocon in them.

The American Republican party is far more to the right wing then the majority of European right wing parties. (mind you, America really dosen't have a left wing choice anyways)
They also have far more complex voting systems in thier countries for several levels of government. Including one that spans 27 countries. I'd say that they'd never vote Republican as they cherish thier social institutions and the Republican party is all about private intrests.

Actually, I've been through Europe 5 times, not a lot, but more than most Americans ever will.
Secondly, I fully understand what the EU is and is not.
Lastly, nationalist parties are still to the far right. I also support them. Actually, a lot more people are supporting them. If you are telling the truth, and I do have my doubts on this (sorry, but I do) I would suggest that you study the social spending policies of even the most right wing parties in Europe as compared to the American Republicans.
It's simply not comperable.
I'm also white, point of fact, and I don't think that white people should be 'bred out' any more then any other race.

I think I have a very very broad sense of equality and idea of tolerance, so I wouldn't use the word ignorant. But I do think a lot of people everywhere don't share that idea which leads to you having groups like the KKK and the Black Panthers who try militant approaches to achieve equality while organizations like the ACLU try legal approaches.

Answer: From all my experiences over the past several years I'd say at most MAYBE 5-10% of self-identified Republicans are still sane. Most of the sane, sensible and moderate conservatives have already left the party and either become Independents or Democrats. Almost all of the people still left in the Republican party are either Neocons, Religious Right fundies or insane right-wing populists. However, most of the sane 5-10% still left in the party have shades of Neocon in them.

The YoungTurks is one of the top news channels on YouTube because it's one of the most popular. This isn't a "liberal bias" of YouTube, it's a 'liberal bias' of the people who watch YouTube. The creators and admins on YouTube have no control over how many people subscribe to certain channels.

I've seen rational conservatives before but it's so rare these days it's like coming across a four leaf clover. I don't see those on the right criticize their own anymore, they just blame all of America's problems on liberals, Democrats, the left, minorities, non-Christians, non-submissive women, etc. TYT at least criticizes Democrats about 1/4 or 1/3 as often as they criticize Republicans. Can't say that about the conservative channels.
