It irritates me that comedians are so talented, yet racism forms part of their repetoir. That 'Has tha the Bisto' joke is legendary - humours the North of England, where Manning is from, but let down by his immediate next joke. What a waste of a 40 year career. Manning and his fellow comedians could have been so much more respected if they'd just been more tolerant.
Stephen Fry says the best joke teller was Bernard Manning. I'd sort of agree, but wish he'd not been such a c*nt!
