  • YO Dees! I just read your caption. That's me! Good games Man. Are you going to the Tourney on Saturday?

  • @eightiesix: I didn't realize there was one. Not sure I can get off work but if I can I'll swing by.

  • I go there all the time. I have a little reputation playin' as El Fuerte.

  • do you have PS3 ID

please tell me i will add you!

  • Sadly I only have XBOX and PC versions of the game.

  • Oh it doesnt matter anyway

you know i had a problem with moveswap and i just wanna tell that it is sorted now.

  • Well, FFA is pretty damn close to Denjin (I think like 7 miles away from the 118 =\. But i guess if you're testing the speeds it works i guess.

  • Google says Denjin is 35 miles from me, AI is 42 and FFA is 14.

It's not a big deal to go that extra 20 minutes really but it's more that the line at Denjin/AI is a pain in the ass. I guess it's a trade-off for skilled players. If FFA is weak, I'll hop in the car and go down to Denjin!

  • FFA is pretty bad for SF4. It has been getting better lately, but still you will play plenty of people that have no clue how to play. I'd suggest going over Denjin Arcade (Simi Valley), or AI (Rowland Heights).

  • Unfortunately both are ridiculously far away to go for one cabinet and only a few games.

I'll probably do that occasionally but for casual play and getting used to cabinet speeds (they are different than consoles, proven on YT), FFA works.

  • where is this speed difference video?

  • Put "pjdwwf6vaIE" into a Youtube search, which shows the XBOX vs. PS3. Not sure where the arcade one is.

The difference seems so small but the pros at WCW were talking about it constantly, saying the Xbox was quicker than the arcade.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. When I play on my 360 at home I have mad execution, but when I go to the arcade I have to slow down my links by like 10%, it's weird as hell.

  • Best competition for 3S and SF4 is Thursday and Friday nights. See you there. ;)

  • I've only went there a couple of times after my classes @ UCLA. I was told to go there by a friend of mine since the "competition is pretty good there." Sadly, that wasn't the case -- sure, there were a decent amount of 3S (the game I played there) players, but none of them were great; they knew their stuff, but their reaction times blew. Maybe it was because I went there in the evening? Then again, there were quite a bit of 3S guys there..

  • Almost went over the "character count" limit :(

Anyways, if you're new to this arcade, I honestly wouldn't go to this place in the evening. Personally speaking, out of the four times I've been there, there's usually some shady crap that happens right outside -- couple of young guys doing whatever the hell they're doing.

As for noon'ish, apparently that's the time to go, according to most guys I've talked with.

Overall, it's a fun place with the majority having mediocre skills.

  • How long ago was this? The parking lot is really well lit (like overly bright outside) and other than a few car guys gathered and chatting it seemed okay.

I'll check it out a few more times and report back.

  • I read online somewhere that they had a cab now in Ackerman Union? I just graduated there this spring.

  • We literally have no SF4 arcade cabinets in FL :(

  • Actually you do have one. It's at the Mall of America.

I've added a link in the video description with a list of US Cabinets by state. Check it out!

  • nice!!!

  • Damn being on the East Coast lol

  • We still have the CTF. D:
