  • I don't know why the English spend their time to speak about the French . On the contrary the French did not care of the English.

  • Al Murray is an 'ironic comic,' which means he can double his money from Sun and Guardian readers.

  • any one know what DVD this one is from?

  • @hacajaime oh you mean that thing! well i dont care if i spelt it wrong just as long as you know what the hell it is im talking about

  • @DrWhoFreak100 I think you meant fought.

  • @hacajaime no i mean fight. "i would love to fought and win" ??

  • ok cut out the half the video im not watching it anymore fuckin shit

  • Wouldn't believe he has a history degree from Oxford and uses all his knowledge in his act :)

  • if anyone read's al murray's biography you would know he has A levels in history and is uses his knowlegde in comedy.

  • It seems to be a reccurring theme that in a YouTube argument between two patriots from different countries must make at least one reference to World War 2 to show their points...

  • @DrWhoFreak100 OK you know nothing about history. After a TERRIBLE BATTLE 220.000 Brits ran away from France in May 1940 (Dynamo operation) while Wehrmacht was invading the country. Beside this 137.000 French/Belgian soldiers came with them and fought during the "England battle" (with Poles and Dutch whose lands were also invaded: do you dispise them too???), then in Africa and also in France (what we call FFI: yes it did exist). I think even in wikipedia you could find this.

  • @virlennenklein i bet you found that on wikipedia anyway. i mean its probably true but at least the brits came back and fought for the freedom of france and acctually won and like i said the french hardly faught at all

  • @DrWhoFreak100 About that bloody war, one thing for sure: without a sea or a desert no army was able to stop the powerful wehrmacht; then USSR and USA actually won. Without them Germany would've been victorious. But thanks to Churchill GB didn't ask peace before they entered the war. The first british attack in Normandy (Jubilee operation) was a disaster. They needed the help of the Americans. But they could've resisted on their island with RAF and RN.

  • @virlennenklein hang dude youre trying to change the subject on to something completely now. you asked me to explain the stereotype that america give to the french, now youre saying that britain had hardly done anything in the war. dude, britain did a lot in the war, i mean churchill was the guy that planned d-day in the first place (dont bother denieing it) and with a boost froom the americans we freed france. and the attack on normandy went better than you think.

  • @DrWhoFreak100 Yes, you're right, but do you think about that attack on Dieppe where british/canadian landing in august 1942? 4000 men out of 6000, 106 planes, 34 ships and their 28 tanks lost: this was a real disaster. England was a sort of "headquarter" in the war, I agree (Never said that "britain had hardly done anything in the war") but without US material (way better tanks and rifles) and men britain would 'nt has been able to free Europe. And USSR fought all the war on the continent.

  • @virlennenklein yeah i agree but dont forget britain were first to declare war on the nazis and stood alone against them.

  • @DrWhoFreak100 Britain and France declared the war on the same day - then Britain was really alone against Germany during almost one year.

Anyway, that's past. Personnally I've never fought in a war and I suppose you've never either.

  • @virlennenklein nope never but there would be a war that i would love to fight and win, but im not going to say what it is because it might make me look a bit racist. i mean its not the whites against blacks or anything but it might still offend people.

  • @DrWhoFreak100 As long as you're respectful and actually not racist, there's no reason it would sound offensive (of course I guess being considered as an enemy is not very pleasant). Peronnally I only wish I could be useful to something; by fighting: why not. But I still prefer peace and respecting people.

  • @DrWhoFreak100 Again, I think you meant fought.

  • @DrWhoFreak100 Nah, I'm sure you meant fought

  • @hacajaime how many times do you have to say the same thing?

  • the point is that this is 'the pub landlord' not al murray... look it upon wiki... he's 'xenophobic, right wing etc'... you can tell he's not taking it allseriously because he keeps laughing at some of the comments he's making :)

  • This guy is pretty much inside every true Englishman XD

  • 10 People are probably French.

  • @YoYoYoYoYoYoYoYoYo36 YoYoYoYoYoYoYoYoYo36... Beautiful british name.

  • racist bastard your just a fucking retard al mury is retarded hi would not be tolerated in fucking America this is not funny his publicly being racist

  • @TheSupercat91

Well aren't you a little fat fucking offended troll. Put your video camera down, get off the internet, grow a pair of hairy balls and some sense of humor and maybe than you can come back!

  • @TheSupercat91 Trollollollolloll. If they can tolerate Westboro Baptist Church funeral crashing, I think they could tolerate one comedian making fun of the minority of people ignorant enough to see his material as factual information about other nations. Now go to bed, or find a music video to dislike for not having Justin Bieber in it, whatever you troll bitches do. No food here squire.

  • @TheSupercat91 are you a yank ? say no more you tool

  • @TheSupercat91 Lol, touchy he is just joking around, grow some balls and lighten up.

  • @TheSupercat91 it's an act LOL. He's not actually like this; his actually character itself is an act.

  • @TheSupercat91 he wouldn't be tolerated in America because we have different senses of humour :)

  • @TheSupercat91 he wouldn't be tolerated in America because we have different senses of humour :)

  • @RLHish By diferent you mean Yanks don't have one.

  • @M4ttM3224 No not at all. what I meant was you hear more about our sense of irony and our love of sarcasm where as America are a little more literal. Well, according to Reginald D Hunter, anyway. :)

  • @RLHish I'll stick to my theory.

  • @M4ttM3224 Yeah I sort of agree with you...

  • @RLHish Then you're on the right path.

  • @TheSupercat91 Check you're spelling and grammar before you call anyone a retard.

  • @M4ttM3224 your spelling and grammar* ...

  • @Zarachla Excuse me?

  • @M4ttM3224 You should have said "your" not "you're". If you are going to criticise other people's use of grammar, you really do need to get it right yourself.

  • @obugger Touche. I typed something else to begin with and forgot to change that bit.

  • @M4ttM3224 We've all done it. Sorry to be such a grammar Nazi.

  • @obugger No worries.

  • @M4ttM3224 You put "you're" when it should have been "your", on a post relating to spelling and grammar.

Your is possessive, you're means you are.

  • @Zarachla I know - someone already told me. It was because I typed something and then channged it but I forgot to change that bit.

  • racist bastard your just a fucking retard al mury is retarded hi would not be tolerated in fucking America

  • @TheSupercat91 in the UK we spell it "he" not hi

  • the french are a bunch of cheese eating surrendermonkeys

  • I stopped laughing at the (If anyone going to be homeless in this country, its going to be British people first.) Why?... Because its fucking true.

  • @Ionlyfearphobophobia And therein lies the genius of Al Murray's comedy. At first glance, he's just a stereotypical British publican on a rant... but when you think about it, he's spot-on about so many things.

  • Comment removed

  • @phlupple Erm... no, you idiots. In sending up the stereotypical English (NOT British) bigot, he's using his remarkable intelligence to demonstrate how remarkably ignorant and stupid such people are. If you went up to him after a gig and said 'Hey, Al... it's so fucking true what you say... you're spot on about so many things', he'd probably punch your lights out. The same thing happened with Warren Mitchell and Johnny Speight over Alf Garnett. I can't believe how thick some people are.

  • @MartianTom "It's NOT that Britain is a clapped out nation that can't build a railway on time..." That's exactly what Britain is, and that's exactly why he parodies it. I fear for you if you cannot see the parody behind the parody; you've pissed on your own argument mate :(

  • @phlupple Yeah yeah... you take it all far too seriously. The bottom line is.... it's comedy. By agreeing with the thing he parodies, you're making a parody of yourself. Maybe this is the Dead Parody Sketch.

  • @MartianTom Okay Tom. I appreciate your honesty in your evaluation of my comments. I'll try to take Al's parodies less seriously. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @phlupple I'll take that over the Bible-thumping illiterate uptight gun-toting mess of a country I'M from...

And given that description, I'm sure no one will ever guess where that may be... ;)

(If it's any consolation, folks--your pub/bar-rant-style comedians kick the hell out of ours...Larry the Cable Guy, I ask you...no, rather, I think I'll just rest my case, there's really no return once LTGC-style comedy catches on in your nation of fat-bellied fools, is there? Cheers.) :)

  • @phlupple It's also a testament to Al Murray's actual intelligence, when you consider how old this particular set is.

It was either an extremely lucky guess, or he's a freakin genius

  • @phlupple It's only a persona anyway.

  • @Ionlyfearphobophobia boy you missed the point by a mile ....

  • @shirleyashington What would that be?

  • wow he's french accent is really good, plus I actually though he was quite easy going on the french (when you compare it to he's bit on the americans)

  • "If you're not there the Germans can't beat you" hahahaha

  • wave ur white (dislike) flag if ur a frenchman :D

  • lolololololololololololololololololololololololololololololoollololololololololololololololololololololololololollolololololololololololololololololololololololololol

  • @555pontifex

    My sister went to Cambridge!

I live in Oxford, please explain your non-sequitor?

I went to neither of the elitist regime of Oxbridge bollocks!

  • @555pontifex Oxford and Cambridge are tied best universities

  • @555pontifex Depends on the ranking you're looking at. Most rank Harvard as the best.

  • @frenchsk8 I said ONE not 2 not 1

  • @joezzzify no actually hes a comedian and if you cant take a joke FUCK OFF.

  • Brilliant stuff, he's a clever bugger as well, watch his TV show on Germany its excellent.
